After a lot of anticipation, miHoYo has revealed its livestream for the next Genshin Impact update. Although Version 1.4 is still underway, the new 1.5 content will be arriving soon. As usual, miHoYo has hosted a livestream detailing what fans should expect next. Here are all the new playable characters being added in Version 1.5.
The 1.5 livestream for Genshin Impact revealed a few surprises as well as characters, events, and features that had been rumored or leaked previously. This was likely due to the 1.5 beta test, in which select fans could participate in the content early on, and much of that content leaked online in subsequent weeks. Now, thankfully, the wait is over and everything is now officially confirmed by miHoYo.
Although the English stream of the event won't start until later today, miHoYo broadcasts the livestream in other regions, like China, earlier in the day. During this earlier livestream, the following characters were revealed as Banners or new playable additions to the ever-growing roster. As rumored earlier, Zhongli will be getting a Banner rerun similar to the Venti and Tartaglia reruns in the 1.4 content. However, it's the brand new characters coming to Genshin Impact that will likely have fans the most excited.
Genshin Impact 1.5: Eula and Yanfei Confirmed
After the 1.5 beta, two characters leaked online: Eula and Yanfei. Thanks to the livestream, both characters have now been officially confirmed by miHoYo. Yanfei will be included with the Zhongli Banner rerun. Yanfei is a Pyro , adding to the already bloated roster of characters who use the fire element. She also wields Catalysts in combat, meaning she can hit enemies from afar but will likely be fairly squishy.
Eula is a 5-star Cryo who carries claymores into battle. Based on the livestream, it looks like she'll be a powerful character with hard-hitting attacks and a good bit of defense as well. Eula will be getting her own Banner, so fans may want to go ahead and start saving up Primogems now. Both Yanfei and Eula look like some great additions to Genshin Impact's roster, and the Zhongli Banner rerun is pretty exciting too, since it gives players a chance to pull Zhongli at a boosted rate during this time.
The Version 1.5 content should be arriving on April 27, 2021, and will depend on a players' time zone. Based on what's shown during the livestream, there's a lot of exciting new content coming to Genshin Impact soon.
