Event Wish system, with most 5-star characters getting their own dedicated Event Wish banners featuring a drop-rate boost for the promoted character. However, there are several 5-star characters in Genshin Impact who have never been featured on an Event Wish banner of their own, nor have they received a drop rate boost. Instead of having their own Event Wishes, these 5-star characters can be obtained through the Beginners' Wish and Wanderlust Invocation Wishes, or other characters' Event Wish banners.

The main method of obtaining characters in Genshin Impact is through the game’s gacha Wish system. Each Event Wish banner features one 5-star character and several drop rate boosted 4-star characters. Genshin Impact has been running double banners with increasing frequency recently, whereby two 5-star character banners are available alongside each other, often introducing one new 5-star character and one rerun banner. However, several 5-star playable characters in Genshin Impact have never been featured on a character Event Wish banner of their own.

In addition to character Event Wishes in Genshin Impact, which require Intertwined Fate, there are two Standard Wish banners that use Acquaint Fate: Beginners’ Wish and Wanderlust Invocation. Wanderlust Invocation is permanent and never expires, whereas Beginners' Wish is capped at 20 Wishes, at which point the banner expires. Five of Genshin Impact’s 5-star characters who do not have character Event Wish banners of their own can be obtained from these two banners: Qiqi, Keqing, Mona, Diluc, and Jean. As well as these 5-star characters, the pool also includes 23 of Genshin Impact’s 4-star characters; none of the characters in the pool receive a drop rate boost.

Genshin Impact's Qiqi Has Never Had A Character Event Wish

Qiqi adjusts her hat in Genshin Impact.

Despite being one of Genshin Impact's best healers, Qiqi does not have a character Event Wish banner. Qiqi is a 5-star Cryo character in Genshin Impact who wields a sword. A zombie resurrected by the adept, Qiqi appears on the Wanderlust Invocation banner alongside Keqing and Mona, but does not receive a drop rate boost on the Standard Wish banner despite being featured. Genshin Impact character Qiqi works at the Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue, alongside its NPC owner Baizhu who is expected to become a playable Dendro character in Genshin Impact in the future.

Genshin Impact: Keqing Appears On Wanderlust Invocation Banner

Keqing wields a purple sword in Genshin Impact.

Keqing is a 5-star playable Electro character in Genshin Impact who appears on the Wanderlust Invocation banner but doesn't have a character Event Wish banner of her own. Although Keqing isn't comparable to the Raiden Shogun, the strongest Electro character in the game, she's a good Electro DPS option for Genshin Impact players who don't have Raiden, Beidou, or Fischl. Although she isn't the most powerful playable character, Keqing plays an important role in Genshin Impact's Liyue storyline, appearing frequently in Chapter 1's A New Star Approaches Archon Quest.

Genshin Impact's Astrologer Mona Doesn't Have An Event Wish

Genshin Impact 5-Star Characters Without Their Own Event Wishes Mona

Mona Megistus is a 5-star Hydro-wielding Catalyst in Genshin Impact considered one of the game's top-tier Sub-DPS and characters, even without her Constellations. Mondstadt astrologist Mona was the first 5-star character in Genshin Impact to use a Catalyst weapon and has remained one of the top Catalyst s in the game, holding her own among the many new Catalyst s including three 5-star characters: Klee, Yae Miko, and Sangonomiya Kokomi.

Despite her revered status, Mona doesn't have an Event Wish banner of her own so has never received a drop rate boost. Mona is one of the faces of the Wanderlust Invocation banner, however, none of the Genshin Impact characters pictured receive a drop rate boost for pulls on the banner. Mona can also be obtained through other characters' Event Wishes and the Beginners' Wish Banner.

Genshin Impact Darknight Hero Diluc Doesn't Have His Own Banner

Diluc stands and is surrounded by flames in Genshin Impact.

5-star Pyro character Diluc ranks among the game's top Pyro DPS characters and features heavily in all three Acts of Genshin Impact's Prologue Archon Quest. Diluc has an interesting relationship with the Knights of Favonius, as a former member who has since parted ways with the knights. Like Jean, Diluc plays an integral role in Mondstadt's early storyline but doesn't have a character Event Wish banner of his own. Although Diluc isn't the top choice compared to fellow 5-star Pyro s Yoimiya and Hu Tao in the Main DPS role, he is a solid choice for Genshin Impact players who want a Pyro DPS character and don't want to wait for reruns of other Pyro characters' banners.

Acting Grand Master Jean Doesn't Have Character Event Wish Banner

Genshin Impact's Jean poses in Mondstadt, looking at her left arm held up high.

Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, Jean Gunnhildr is a 5-star Anemo character in Genshin Impact and one of the game's best characters that can also offer healing for the party. Both Jean's normal attacks and Elemental Burst provide healing to the party while dealing damage to the enemy. Jean was the first 5-star Anemo character in the game aside from the Anemo Traveler and has never been featured on a character Event Wish Banner. She is one of only two Anemo s in Genshin Impact to currently use a sword, the other being Kaedehara Kazuha.

Currently, five of Genshin Impact's 5-star characters do not have their own dedicated character Event Wish Banners and can only be obtained via other characters' Banners, the Wanderlust Invocation, and the Beginners' Wish Banners. Interestingly, there is one 5-star character for each element with the exception of Geo; however, Genshin Impact players can attune their 5-star Traveler with Geo relatively early on in the game at a Geo Statue of the Seven. It's possible a 5-star Dendro character could be added to this roster of 5-star characters without their own character Event Wishes in the future. Dendro playable characters including Kusanali, the Dendro Archon, are expected to arrive in Genshin Impact later this year coinciding with the release of Sumeru.
