The leaks about Escoffier’s kit in Escoffier in Genshin Impact.

Based on the leaks about her kit, Escoffier is set to be a Cryo sub-DPS who wields a polearm in battle. According to these leaks, Escoffier can summon a gadget that follows the active character and fires shots that deal Cryo DMG against enemies. This makes her a reliable off-field Cryo sub-DPS who can work alongside Hydro characters for a permafreeze team comp or even a Cryo DPS like Wriothesley in Genshin Impact to increase the Cryo application while other units in the team spread Hydro and other elements that interact with the ice-based element in the game.

Escoffier's Leaked Skill In Genshin Impact 5.6 Has Two Modes

One Mode Is Combat-Centered, While The Other Cooks Food

One of the key points in Escoffier’s gameplay kit is her Elemental Skill. According to the aforementioned leaks about her abilities, Escoffier’s Elemental Skill has two distinct modes that can be activated. The first of them is the Tap version. With it, Escoffier summons the previously mentioned gadget called Cooking Mek, which follows the active character and periodically fires shots that deal Cryo DMG to enemies. This ability is said to last 20 seconds on the field, which should allow a comfortable character rotation in Genshin Impact. The Elemental Skill’s leaked second mode is the Hold version.

By holding down the Elemental Skill’s button, players instead summon a different version of this gadget that spawns on the field. Instead of following the active character and dealing periodic Cryo DMG, however, this version of the Cooking Mek stays in an affixed location and is subject to elemental attacks. Players will then deal elemental damage to it, much like they do with the Parametric Transformer in Genshin Impact, and upon reaching the limit, the device will grant players a special dish made by Escoffier. This ability has a seven-day cooldown under the explanation that Escoffier needs to gather ingredients.

Escoffier's Leaked Skill Could Pose A Problem During Combat In Genshin Impact

While there is a clear distinction between the two modes of Escoffier’s leaked Elemental Skill and different ways of activating them, it may not be enough to impede players from committing mistakes, some of which could cost players the chance at obtaining rewards. As demonstrated by leaked Version 5.6 beta test footage of Escoffier in combat, players could accidentally activate the Elemental Skill’s leaked Hold mode during battles, thus creating the non-combat version of the Cooking Mek device in the game. The now-deleted video shows a player doing just that and having to deal with its consequences in real time.

Genshin Impact 5.6 Leaks: Ifa's Materials Can Be Pre-Farmed, But One Item Will Be A Huge Problem

The materials needed to fully upgrade Ifa in Genshin Impact 5.6 have leaked, and you can already start pre-farming most of them, except one.

In the video that was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on leaked world boss from Genshin Impact 5.6, the player is seen using the Hold version of her Elemental Skill. As such, a device that is effectively useless in combat spawns on the field, cutting down the amount of potential damage output that they had. The big issue with this particular mistake is that, according to the leaks about Escoffier’s kit on Honey Hunter World, her Skill’s cooldown in the game is 15 seconds.

This forces the player to wait for the Cooking Mek’s non-combat form to end to only then activate the Tap version, which fires the Cryo DMG shots. In the leaked footage, the player did not seem keen on showcasing Escoffier at the height of her abilities, as they were also showcasing the leaked world boss’s moveset. In a real combat scenario, the consequences for the mistake when using Escoffier’s leaked Elemental Skill could be terrible. While fighting enemies in the overworld, accidentally using the Skill’s wrong version will be nothing more than a nuisance that affects rotation in Genshin Impact.

In practical , the player will have to go through their regular team comp rotation without the aid of the extra Cryo DMG provided by the Cooking Mek’s Tap form.

In endgame content, however, this could be the defining mistake that impedes you from obtaining rewards. In the Spiral Abyss and the Imaginarium Theater (and other limited-time events), time is of the essence to complete objectives, and mes Escoffier’s Elemental Skill usage could make players deal a lot less damage. With such a mistake, you could miss out on 20 seconds that could have been what ensured you obtained the stage’s rewards, which often include Primogems in Genshin Impact. The subtle difference in summoning the different forms of the Cooking Mek could force you to retry tough endgame activities.

Dodging The Potential Problem, Escoffier May Become A Must-Have Character In Genshin Impact

A Cryo Sub-DPS Can Help For The Rumored Cryo Meta

This mistake can have terrible consequences, but if players can circumvent the potential mishap with the wrong version of the Cooking Mek, they will possibly be using a must-have character. As a rumored 5-star Cryo sub-DPS, Escoffier is a valuable unit. There are few Cryo sub-DPS characters in the game, and most of them are outdated 4-star units, like Kaeya. Being able to apply Cryo to enemies from off the field while the main DPS uses their own element to interact with it is much needed, especially if the leaks about the Cryo meta in Genshin Impact 5.6 are true.

Genshin Impact 5.6 Leaks: New Free Event Weapon Explained

A new free event weapon has leaked for Genshin Impact 5.6, and while it may initially seem good, it could be a worse option than some 3-star bows.

The game is allegedly going to increase the value of Cryo characters. Version 5.6 leaks hint that both the new world boss and weekly boss have mechanics that require Cryo DMG to impede powerful attacks, so Cryo will be essential. While a consistent Cryo DPS like Wriothesley, Ganyu, or Ayaka could be enough, having an off-field character dealing Cryo DMG like Escoffier could help when facing them, and that’s why her release is so important. There are also leaks about Skirk’s future release in Genshin Impact that hint at her using Cryo DMG, which could make her work with Escoffier.
