The Aeonblight Drake is a Normal Boss in Skywatch Ruin Drakes, as it is capable of attacking from the ground and during flight. If players have fought the Ruin Drakes prior to facing the Aeonblight Drake, they should have a general understanding of some of its moves.

Nevertheless, the Aeonblight Drake Boss is much more challenging than its Elite counterparts and features several new abilities that might catch players off guard. On the other hand, it still possesses the same primary weak point that Ruin Drakes have: the glowing cores on its body. Firing at this spot whenever it flashes during combat will cause the beast to become temporarily paralyzed, leaving it vulnerable to players' attacks.

Defeating The Aeonblight Drake In Genshin Impact Map Location

First, the fight will start with the Aeonblight Drake in its grounded stance, attacking players with various slams, tail swipes, and charges. According to YouTuber Sun Wei, players can exploit the beast's size by going beneath the base of its mechanical tail. In this position, the Drake will not be able to reach the player character with any of its attacks, except for the tail swipe. This move is easy to predict and dodge, as the boss will wind back its tail before spinning. Eventually, the Aeonblight Drake will generate resistance to the most recent element with which it was struck and use its wings to take flight.

Next, players must switch to a ranged unit and shoot at the two glowing cores on the top of its wings to stun the monster. It will fall to the ground, allowing players to unleash all their Elemental Skills and Bursts on the target. After it gets back up, players should return to the spot beneath the thicket portion of its tail and continue attacking and dodging its tail swipes. If the boss retakes flight, characters should fire at the glowing cores again to bring it down and finish it off. Accordingly, if Travelers follow the strategy above, it should take them no less than a few minutes and minimal effort to defeat the Aeonblight Drake in Genshin Impact.
