Genshin Impact 3.2 introduces the Dendro Archon Nahida to the roster of playable characters, and she can undoubtedly fill several roles for players depending on her build. Nahida is a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst character and is the fourth Archon to be playable in the game. Early expectations for Nahida are for her to be as strong as the other Archons are, but her specialty will be applying Dendro to enemies consistently. This becomes extremely important for players as currently, Genshin Impact has few characters that apply Dendro efficiently.
Nahida will suit players best as a Main or Sub DPS, and though her builds may change, her playstyle will stay relatively the same. She will want to rotate in and out to maximize the Elemental Reactions with Dendro while staying out on the field a bit longer to normal attack if she is the Main DPS. Nahida will play perfectly with Genshin Impact's 3.1 character Nilou, who requires a strong Dendro applicator to maximize her effectiveness. Cyno will also partially benefit from Nahida, as she will be one of the better Dendro applicators for him, though Collei or the Dendro Traveler may still be reasonable and comparable picks.
Genshin Impact: Nahida's Best Weapons, Artifacts, and Constellations
When deciding which talents to level up, players need to know what role Nahida is playing; if she is the Main DPS, try to level each talent equally. In contrast, if Nahida is the Sub DPS, then focus on her Elemental Skill and Burst only, as those will be all she uses when she rotates in. All these abilities are essential, as Nahida needs Dendro applied so that her ive Seeds of Skandha, which links enemies affected by Dendro, will activate its damaging effect Tri-Karma Purification. This deals Dendro damage to all inflicted enemies when Genshin Impact's Dendro Elemental Reactions occur.
Nahida's best weapon will be her signature, A Thousand Floating Dreams, which will boost her Elemental Mastery and Elemental Damage and give her whole team another 40 Elemental Mastery. If players do not wish to pull for this, then her weapon will be dictated by her position. As a Main DPS, give Nahida any Catalyst that boosts Crit, while as a Sub DPS, the 3-Star Magic Guide will be the best as it provides Elemental Mastery and a 12% damage boost to enemies affected by Hydro or Electro.
Two artifact sets stand out for Nahida and come down to player preference: Deepwood Memories, which will boost her Dendro damage and lower enemies' Dendro resistance, or Gilded Dreams, which will boost her Elemental Mastery. No matter which set Nahida uses or role she is in, players should look for Crit Rate, Crit Damage, Elemental Mastery, and Energy Recharge for sub-stats, though exactly which numbers they need will depend wildly on both the team compositions they've chosen and how they're playing Nahida to complement those additional characters. In general, her bonuses cap out at 1000 Elemental Mastery, so that's worth aiming for to get the most out of her off-field damage especially.
Nahida is another character who does not need full - or any - Constellations in Genshin Impact to be useful, but getting her to C2 will unlock a truly dramatic upgrade in strength. Constellation One allows her Burst to get the full buff effects Pyro, Electro, and Hydro give it, while Constellation Two will allow Dendro Elemental Reactions to Crit and further decrease enemy defenses. Overall, Nahida is set up to be another great Archon and easily the best Dendro character released to date, as her damage will satisfy players, and she solves the problem most Dendro teams have faced with inconsistent application. Any players who have been looking to use Dendro teams in Genshin Impact should heavily invest in getting and building Nahida.
