A Genshin Impact fan cosplayed Alhaitham, one of the new playable characters to be introduced in Version 3.4. Although Alhaitham will be new when it comes to gameplay, the hero is a long-time ally to the Traveler. He was originally introduced along with the region of Sumeru in patch 3.0 earlier this year.

The Genshin Impact cosplayer, known as Sano, recreated the 5-star Dendro swordsman’s appearance and shared the result in an Instagram post. The Alhaitham cosplay is faithful to the character’s original outfit and looks, with his black attire underneath a green robe. Hanging from it is his Dendro Vision and, on his head, is his iconic headpiece with an Akasha Device. In Sano’s cosplay, Alhaitham, one of Genshin Impact 3.4’s confirmed characters, holds a Knowledge Capsule.

Genshin Impact’s Alhaitham Cosplay Intensifies Dendro Reactions

Genshin Impact's Alhaitham stands in Port Ormos, in Sumeru, looking fiercly.

As is the case with the actual character, Sano’s Alhaitham cosplay also proves himself to be a Dendro expert, knowing exactly how to retain a Knowledge Capsule. Players who have gone through Genshin Impact’s Sumeru Archon story quests will know that, while precious, these items can be extremely dangerous. Of course, part of the peril is mainly due to the Akademiya’s plotting and consorting with the Fatui.

This is, however, not the first time the artist has cosplayed Genshin Impact characters. In fact, confirmed rerun characters for Genshin Impact 3.3. Sano’s Alhaitham is but a new addition to a long roster of cosplayed Genshin characters.

Alhaitham Is Finally Playable In Genshin Impact 3.4

After developer HoYoverse’s recently introduced 5-star Anemo DPS powerhouse, known as the Wanderer, Alhaitham is next in line when it comes to player anticipation. The character is a 5-star Dendro swordsman but, his part in a Genshin Impact team is still unknown – it is not clear if he will be a DPS, enabler, , or even a healer. In spite of this, considering his combat prowess in the story, fans can speculate his role will be focused on damage-dealing.

Nonetheless, the next patch will increase player possibilities with Dendro seeing that Genshin Impact 3.4 also introduces Yaoyao, a 4-star polearm-wielding Dendro which will arrive with Alhaitham’s banner. Since its introduction in 3.0, Dendro has been changing the gameplay meta drastically, since it also brought forward a set of new and diverse reactions. With Dendro, players can inflict lingering damage, boost their powers and even heal themselves, so the two new characters added to the roster will surely give them more options when it to how they create said reactions.

While Genshin Impact 3.4 is expected to arrive in mid-January, 2023, players can enjoy all the 3.3 content for now, which has recently added the Wanderer and an Archon Interlude Quest related to him. The current version also has more confirmed characters to obtain via the limited-time banner gacha system. Players can also experience multiple Genshin Impact 3.3 events that will fill up their Primogem banks to acquire the playable heroes. In the meantime, this Alhaitham cosplay should have plenty of people excited for the next update.
