Mika was introduced to Genshin Impact during Version 3.1's special event, "Of Ballads and Brews," as one of the Knights of Favonius who ed the yet-to-be-seen Grand Master Varka on his expedition. He is set to the playable roster during Version 3.5. He will be the first Mondstadt character released since 2021 with a unique set of tools for combat.
Just as leaks for Dehya in Genshin Impact Version 3.5 have flooded the fanbase, so too has Mika's beta build become a subject of fascination. His ascension materials reflect his travels, as they include items from Liyue (Jueyun Chilis), Sumeru (Setekh Wenut's Pseudo-Stamens), and the ever-watchful Fatui. According to Genshin Impact leaks, Mika will be a 4-Star Cryo polearm , but his polearm will only be used during his Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks. His Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst each use different items to trigger their elemental effects.
Mika's Leaked Talents In Genshin Impact
Mika will be the first playable character in Genshin Impact to wield a crossbow in both his Elemental Skill and Normal Attacks (similar to Alhaitham's two swords weapons in Genshin Impact). Tapping the Elemental Skill will fire a Flowfrost Arrow and deal Cryo DMG. Holding the Elemental Skill allows the player to aim and fire a Rimestar Flare at a target. After hitting the target, the Rimestar Flare will explode into Rimestar Shards to target more enemies for Cryo DMG. Either version of the Elemental Skill can increase ATK SPD by 25% at Talent Level 13. This leaked Genshin Impact talent for Mika suggests he could be a useful buffer.
Mika's leaked Elemental Burst in Genshin Impact uses a prayer book, similar to the catalysts of other playable characters. In fact, as Mika's official art shows him holding the book, many players assumed he would be the first Cryo catalyst in Genshin Impact. Mika shares the same faith as Acting Grand Master character, Jean from Genshin Impact, healing allies with his prayers based on his Max HP. This Elemental Burst gives characters the Eagleplume state, which will allow them to heal after performing a Normal Attack.
Mika's Leaked Animations In Genshin Impact
Mika's animations in Genshin Impact have also been leaked, revealing a combat style that is surprisingly gentle. He fires his crossbow with one relaxed hand. His Elemental Burst creates a beautiful crystaline feather above his head before moving to float by his side. His Normal Attacks have him swing and shove his polearm before firing a few shots with his crossbow and putting his whole weight into a jab. These Normal Attacks reflect how Varka invited Mika on the expedition to improve his combat skills, according to Genshin Impact's introduction of Mika on HoYoLAB.
Mika's arrival as a Genshin Impact playable character suggests that Varka may not be far behind. Fans have waited for this important, faceless character since the game's launch, so if one member of his expedition has returned to Mondstadt, it suggests Varka may appear soon. Until then, players can explore Mika's leaks and see if he will work on their Genshin Impact team comps.
