Nevertheless, there are some tips on what to do during the player's first few days in the game. From hitting level milestones for smoother progression and unlocking some of the best characters to exploring the map and gathering everything, there are a few things beginners should take note of.

Use Statues Of The Seven To Heal

After a battle, if the player's squad is injured, it is recommended to avoid using food, if possible. Instead, the player should teleport to any Statue of the Seven. By staying near these for a few seconds, the player's squad will quickly revive and heal back to full health.

This is a great method for healing early on, as the player doesn't have an infinite amount of food to spare whenever their squad takes damage.

Use Resin

Resin is a mechanic in Genshin Impact similar to energy in other games. It recharges after a few hours and is used for various activities. The current Resin amount can be seen on the top right when checking the map.

To maximize efficiency, it is recommended to use resin whenever it's available, either for Ley Lines or Domains. It is important for the player to make sure that their resin is never capped and always recharging.

Get Barbatos Ratatouille

Although there are a lot of available dishes to cook in the game, Barbatos Ratatouille is considered the most important for new players. Its effect reduces the player's stamina consumption while running or gliding, thus allowing them to move faster through the map.

It is extremely useful early on since the player will be exploring the map and constantly running around. Barbatos Ratatouille can be acquired at Stormbearear Point by talking to the NPC Vind.

After reaching level 12, the player can talk to Katheryne from the adventurers guild in Mondstadt. Through her, the player can receive 4 commissions every day, each with its own reward.

In addition, after completing all four, talking to Katheryne provides an extra reward. It is recommended for players to do these as often as possible after reaching level 12. These reward useful materials and a solid amount of experience that will be needed to progress through the game.

Don't Rush The Story

Although the story is one of the best ways for progres adventure rank quickly, rushing it is not the best idea. Specifically, each story chapter has specific level requirements that cannot be reached by only doing the story.

Instead, the player will also have to explore around, unlock waypoints, defeat enemies, and solve puzzles to reach the required adventure level. It can be helpful to do these tasks in-between story chapters, whenever running from one place to the other.

Get Xiangling Early

Although most of the best characters on Genshin Impact are acquired randomly based on luck, Xiangling is an exception. She is one of the best Pyro characters in the game and can be acquired by completing the third floor of Spiral Abyss, a domain on the far east side of the map.

Although this will require the player to have their squad around level 40-45, it's one of the first big goals that new players should set. Xiangling is usable in many great team combinations and has exceptionally high damage.

Complete Achievements

The game offers multiple achievements that can be accessed by the main menu. The main point with achievements is that completing them offers players 5 or more Primogems per achievement.

While most will be completed automatically while progressing the story or doing random quests, it can also be helpful to check them every so often and complete some extra ones that would otherwise be missed. There are also some hidden achievements, which is just one of the overlooked things in the game that most players miss.

Gather Everything

Genshin Impact has no limit regarding how many materials the player can have on them at any time, while also there is no weight limit. This means that the player can gather anything that they find, with no limitations.

Because of this, it is recommended to gather literally everything that is found in the wild, despite how common it might be. As long as they are on the player's way, even sweet flowers and mint are worth hoarding, as you never know how they can be used later.
