Genshin Impact 3.0 is heavily anticipated by fans and will feature the new region Sumeru as well as multiple new characters. While not much is known about the Sumeru region quite yet despite it being mentioned throughout quests, the update will explain and expand the lore.
Although Genshin Impact has frequent updates featuring new banners and quests, 3.0 is adding a substantial amount of new content for fans to explore. So far, fans have deduced that the Dendro region Sumeru will be heavily influenced by South Asian and Middle Eastern cultures, with , China, and Edo-period Japan having influenced previous regions. Genshin Impact 3.0 features three new playable characters: Collei, Dori, and Tighnari, two of which actually utilize the Dendro element in combat. The Dendro Archon Nahida will also excitingly make an appearance, and seems to play a big part in the storyline.
The new Genshin Impact 3.0 promotional video teases the region of Sumeru with breathtaking anime visuals. While fans are reasonably excited about the new playable characters, many seem more thrilled about the appearance of Dendro Archon Nahida. The newest Archon is the youngest of them all, and her small and adorable character design reflects this. As reported by Game Rant, Genshin fans have already discovered an easily missed moment from the teaser, connecting Nahida to the beloved and mysterious Adventurer's Guild receptionist Katheryne. The scene only features what appears to be the characters' legs, and Nahida seems to be hiding behind Katheryne. Katheryne's appearance in Genshin Impact has been discussed among fans for a while, with some believing her intentions aren't as pure as they seem to be.

Although Nahida won't be playable, it's clear that she'll play make a big impact on Genshin Impact and its fans. It's worth noting that the new playable characters are highly intriguing as well, and there are rumors that the new Genshin Dendro character Collei will be available for players with the release of version 3.0 without needing to wish. Some have already begun farming materials to level up and ascend the characters as quickly as possible.
Genshin Impact Version 3.0 has been long awaited by players since it was initially talked about even before the previous few updates. Although a release date hasn't been confirmed, fans are hoping for the 3.0 update to happen around August 24th. The lore of Genshin and its impressive roster of characters are what has made it so successful, and the expansion of both these aspects will be exciting to see, especially right after the launch of what some call Genshin Impact's rival, Tower of Fantasy.
