In a unique move compared to previous PlayStation franchises, Sucker Punch Productions planned from the very start to incorporate a multiplayer component into Ghost of Tsushima. The free cooperative multiplayer, named Legends, was added to the base game in mid-October alongside new cosmetics and gameplay changes. The multiplayer has been well received by fans as it explores Japanese mythology and pits players against each other in class-ranked challenges. There are a total of four different classes, all of which offer distinctive benefits based on certain playstyles. Players who are interested in open combat might prefer the Samurai class. Others who appreciate a quiet approach will probably opt for the Assassin class. The hunter class is ideal for players interested in long-ranged abilities. Lastly, the Ronin class is advantageous because of its ability to heal teammates.
