CBS’s ghosts of CBS’s Ghosts make up most of the show’s cast, but their living co-stars are central to the story of the series. Based on the British sitcom of the same name from 2019, Ghosts tells the story of Sam and Jay, a happy couple who inherit a massive mansion from a distant relative. Upon their arrival, Sam has a near-death experience and gains the ability to see, hear, and talk to the house’s ghostly inhabitants.

Ghosts' 2 Additional Expansion Series Solves The Creators' Original Crossover Challenge
As Ghosts season 4's premiere approaches, news of the hit CBS sitcom's spinoffs proves that a crossover could perfect for the show's future.
By Ghosts season 4, Sam and Jay have thoroughly acclimated to life among the ghosts, although only Sam can communicate with them. The show’s lineup of ghosts has remained largely unchanged since its first season, with the series introducing the central lineup of Sass, Trevor, Hetty, Thor, Isaac, Alberta, Flower, and Pete back in its pilot episode. However, season 4 will change this as Isaac’s kidnapping from season 3’s cliffhanger finale introduces a new ghost to the mansion’s inhabitants. This latest addition to the cast, like Sam and Jay’s actors, has an impressive existing screen CV.

Holland will bring the same combination of sweetness and unnerving intensity to the part of Patience in Ghosts season 4. A Puritan who kidnapped Isaac in the season 3 finale, Ghosts season 4’s new character has been called “Creepy” by one of Ghosts' stars in a TVLine interview, but is ultimately well-meaning.

Jay is Sam’s partner in Ghosts and one of the Woodstone Manor’s more level-headed residents. Although he can’t see, hear, or talk to the ghosts, he is still often dragged into their antics in his attempts to Sam. Ghosts season 4 will see Jay gain the ability to see ghosts, which may change this dynamic.
Ghosts Season 4 ing Cast and Characters
The rest of Ghosts season 4’s cast is filled out by the show’s range of eponymous ghostly heroes. Sheila Carrasco plays Flower, Brandon Scott Jones plays Isaac Higgintoot, Roman Zaragoza plays Sass, Rebecca Wisocky plays Hetty, Danielle Pinnock plays Alberta, Richie Moriarty plays Pete, Asher Grodman plays Trevor, and Devon Chandler Long plays Thor. It remains to be seen how Mary Holland’s Patience manages to ingratiate herself in the Woodstone B&B’s busy line-up, but it is worth noting that the ghosts share their own internal divisions and have since the series began.

Although he is loyal, Ghosts star Isaac can be self-centered and thoughtless. Similarly, Sass has a guilty love of dramam while Hetty is high-minded and self-important. None of these flaws make the show’s heroes any less lovable, but they do ensure that Ghosts season 4 is full of drama and interpersonal conflict as well as character comedy.
