Snake Eyes' Mysterious Nature Made Him an Icon

GI Joe: A Real American Hero featured a number of unforgettable characters, but none more so than Snake Eyes. His all-black attire (which is owed to a budget-saving measure by Hasbro), stoic demeanor and overall air of mystery fired the imaginations of '80s kids everywhere and left an enduring legacy on pop culture. Indeed, Snake Eyes has even been credited as the inspiration for Deadpool by the Marvel hero's co-creator Rob Liefeld, who recently worked on Snake Eyes: Deadgame with Chad Bowers.
