However, there were plenty of side characters sprinkled into Gilmore Girls who helped round out the show and gave it life.

These characters were not considered the leads, but they did have recurring roles on the show that made Stars Hollow (and Gilmore Girls) the attraction that it was. Without the likes of Taylor Doose or Miss Patty and Babette, the show wouldn't have that extra special zest. But who are the best duos on the show that didn't get enough screen time? Babette & Morey

Gilmore Girls fans are obsessed with couples like Luke and Lorelai, Rory and Jess, and even Richard and Emily. But what about Babette and Morey? These love birds are an underrated duo that fans wished they saw more of. They were completely different and yet totally compatible. Morey was always in the background, ing Babette with whatever she needed. She was the life of the party and the star of the show, and Morey was always there for her.

Reverend Skinner & The Rabbi

Archie Skinner is the reverend at the Stars Hollow church. He's often seen with Rabbi David Barans at town events, and the two of them are clearly fast friends after sharing the church. Similarly to Luke's relationship with Taylor, both Skinner and Barans cannot stand Taylor and try to ignore him when it comes to Stars Hollow politics.

Fans agree that the little moments between Reverend Skinner and Rabbi Barans were some of the most underrated scenes. They had a similar personality and tried viewing the world with a positive outlook.

Miss Patty & Babette

It's no surprise that Miss Patty and Babette made the list. Along with Rory and Lane and Lorelai and Sookie, Babette and Patty were one of Stars Hollow's best best friend duos. The two women were infamous for their gossiping nature and always knew what the talk of the town was. When anyone needed information on a person or situation, Babette and Patty were the people to go to. However, it wasn't just gossiping that the women were good at. They were also very maternal and protective of Lorelai and Rory. They're warm-hearted, good people.

Gypsy & Jackson

Gypsy has thick skin and is one of the most honest people in Stars Hollow. As the town's mechanic, she shoots it straight and has a hilarious sarcastic side to her. She was only in a few scenes with Jackson but they were charming enough for fans to want more.

One of their best moments together was when Gypsy was fixing Jackson's truck. The two had a hilarious banter about his treatment of his vehicle. It was the perfect snippet into their possible friendship.

Madeline & Louise

It's hard to believe that a gal like Paris would willingly hang out with They tolerated Paris because she was helping them become better students and earn better grades in school. But it's safe to say that Madeline and Louise didn't need Paris to round out their friend group. These two girls only needed each other. They were boy-crazy, travel-obsessed, and loved to gossip.

Michel & Children

Thanks to Michel's sassy retorts and desire for elegance, his relationships with those around him were iconic. He adored Lorelai while also detesting most of her decisions. The one outsider that he grew to love was Emily Gilmore. Both of them thought the world of each other and agreed they were around Lorelai too much.

Aside from Emily, Reddit loved seeing Michel with children. He never liked children much and didn't know how to entertain them. When kids were present at the inn, Michel's interactions were some of the best.

Luke & Taylor

While Luke is a main character in the series, his relationship with Taylor Doose was too tumultuous to ignore. Both men were respected in the town but were incredibly stubborn and stuck in their own ways. The two bickered more than they got along, but that was normal for them. At the end of the day, the two men would do anything for the better of Stars Hollow but their contrasting friendship was fun to watch.

Luke & Kirk

Luke and Kirk were another beloved duo on the show. Kirk was that one character who was seemingly around for everything. Like Babette and Miss Patty, Kirk also had his nose in most people's business and knew what was going on. As per usual, he butted heads with Luke, which only made fans of the show love their subtle friendship even more.

Colin & Finn

Colin and Finn were two of Logan's closest friends at Yale. They were of the Life and Death Brigade and presumably came from affluent backgrounds like Logan's. After getting to know Rory better, the duo became close with her as well and even showed up in the reboot. Colin and Finn's constant banter and loyalty to Logan was a breath of fresh air on the show.

Kirk & Lulu

Luke was caught off-guard when he saw Kirk preparing for his first date with Lulu at the diner. And his practice clearly paid off because he and Lulu were still together in the reboot.

Fans adored this relationship, even though the two weren't shown much as a couple. Lulu was the only woman who was willing to put up with Kirk's antics and found him charming.
