Several Titan battles occurred between Godzilla vs. Kong. It was revealed in the fourth MonsterVerse movie that five years had ed since Godzilla killed Ghidorah, though it had been three years since anyone saw another Titan. During that time, the world didn’t face any threats of that magnitude again, but Titan-related conflicts persisted.

By defeating Ghidorah, Godzilla stopped further chaos from erupting in the MonsterVerse, but his actions didn’t put an end to all the planet’s Titan troubles. Rodan and the others bowing down to Godzilla and the teases provided by the credits may have created a false impression about the future of the Titans. It may have appeared that as long as Godzilla’s reign continued, they would all get along with each other and that humans would go undisturbed by their activities, but that was not the case. Though many did respect Godzilla as the alpha, they weren’t always obedient. Some even challenged him.

Godzilla vs. Kong unfortunately didn’t go into much detail about what transpired after King of the Monsters, and left many gaps to be filled by graphic novel prequels Godzilla: Dominion and Kingdom Kong. The former explored Godzilla’s efforts to patrol the Earth, whereas Kong’s story focused on events that took place on Skull Island in the aftermath of Ghidorah’s fall. The prequels revealed that quite a bit of in-fighting between the Titans occurred offscreen in the MonsterVerse.

Godzilla vs. Scylla

Godzilla vs Scylla Dominion

As noted by the King of the Monsters’ credits, Godzilla took some time to make sure the Titans stayed in line. This is what Godzilla was up to at the beginning of Dominion, which showed him making the rounds in the MonsterVerse. His first stop was the coast of Georgia, where he ran into Scylla, a six-legged insect monster and one of the four original Titans officially introduced in King of the Monsters.

In Dominion, she was shown to be drawn to a nuclear missile, which put the humans in the vicinity in harm’s way. Her hunger for radiation apparently outweighed her obedience to the alpha, as she was unwilling to back down when Godzilla approached. Godzilla recognized Scylla as one of the beasts who submitted to him after beating Ghidorah, and expected her to do the same again. But this time, she attacked him. Godzilla battled her in the water, with her attempting to use the tendrils on her face to subdue him. The problem is that her body structure made her ill-suited for a fight with a foe as powerful as Godzilla. He quickly overwhelmed her, and forced her to flee the scene. Godzilla chose not to give chase, having reached the conclusion that Scylla had learned her lesson.

Amhuluk vs. Behemoth

Behemoth is a new Titan in Godzilla: King of the Monsters

It was mentioned in King of the Monsters’ credits that one of the movie’s Titans, Behemoth, restored the Amazon rainforest. Apparently, this had become his new home, but Dominion revealed that he wasn’t the only Titan to relocate there. There was also Amhuluk, one of King of the Monsters’ 11 missing Titans. His name was spotted on a monitor screen, but the creature himself never appeared in the flesh. Thanks to Dominion, fans now know that he’s a menacing beast with tree-like properties and long tentacles protruding from his face. His behavior toward Behemoth made it clear that he’s also one of the MonsterVerse’s more aggressive Titans. He gave the mammoth a brutal beating and managed to tear off one of his tusks. Behemoth was barely holding his own against him, and likely would have died if the fight wasn’t interrupted by the arrival of the alpha.

Godzilla vs. Amhuluk

Behemoth surviving Dominion is owed entirely to Godzilla’s timely intervention. After defeating Scylla, Godzilla showed up in the nick of time to defend Behemoth from Amhuluk. Godzilla jumped into the fray and easily overpowered the monster. It didn’t take more than a moment for Amhuluk to recognize Godzilla’s superiority and submit to the alpha. As a result, all three Titans were able to go their separate ways.

Godzilla vs. Tiamat

Tiamat in Godzilla Dominion

Though exhausted, Godzilla wasn’t given a chance to rest. After beating Scylla and Amhuluk, dealing with a school of giant piranhas, and freeing Na Kika from Titan-hunting humans, Godzilla was forced into one more Titan battle. After heading into another of his underground lairs, the alpha crossed paths with Tiamat. Like Amhuluk, Tiamat’s name popped up in King of the Monsters, but she was never seen. She was the creature that one of the human characters was referring to when they stated that a Titan escaped from Stone Mountain. Looking at her mythological connections, many assumed that her MonsterVerse counterpart would be a water dragon of some kind.

Dominion proved this theory true. The large sea serpent had a long and grueling underwater fight with Godzilla, who found himself challenged by Tiamat’s power. In fact, Tiamat turned out to be the most difficult opponent Godzilla had fought since his final showdown with Ghidorah. During the fight, Tiamat wrestled with him in the water, and even succeeded in blinding him with toxic spray from her mouth. Godzilla struggled with her for a while, but gained the upper hand once he got her out of the water. After being stomped on, Tiamat stopped fighting back and left Godzilla’s lair in peace. Following Tiamat’s submission, Godzilla sent all his Titan minions back into hibernation.

Kong vs. Camazotz

Kingdom Kong Camazotz Skull Island Battle

Since Kong typically stays in one place, he doesn’t usually get involved in battles with other Titans, but he did have at least one noteworthy adversary between King of the Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong. While his home was being taken over by one of Ghidorah’s storms, a nocturnal bat Titan rooted in Mayan mythology emerged from the Hollow Earth for a fight with Kong. An old prophecy claimed that this malevolent creature known as Camazotz intended to use his army of winged monsters to plunge the world into “eternal darkness.” And since Camazotz wanted to be regarded as an alpha, he set his sights on Kong first. While airborne, the flying Titan was able to put up a good fight, but he had a hard time standing up to Kong’s blows. Despite being hindered by the raging storm, Kong prevailed over Camazotz and stomped him to death. Afterward, he tossed the bat Titan’s corpse back into the Hollow Earth tunnel. Presumably, Kong didn’t receive a challenge from another Titan again until the King of the Monsters came for him in Godzilla vs. Kong.
