Actresses like Debra Messing proudly declared their of former correspondent Catt Sadler and call out E! News' pay gap at the rampant sexual misconduct and abuse in Hollywood that has come to light in recent months.
The all-black dress code at the Golden Globes was meant to unite actors and detract from the traditional glitz of such events, and it made a major splash. Imioned acceptance speeches during the ceremony further brought long-standing issues to our attention. However, while all that was happening, a handful of actresses made a quiet, almost unnoticeable stand of their own.

Debra Messing (pay discrepancy between the network's male and female cohosts, informing interviewer Giuliana Rancic that she stood with Sadler and missed the correspondent's presence on the network. You can watch the interview in the clip embedded below:
Meanwhile, Longoria affirmed her similar feelings, saying that she hoped E! would learn to treat their female employees equal to their male counterparts. Reese Witherspoon (s) chimed in, openly agreeing with Longoria's of Sadler. You can watch that clip below:
Parker did not actually mention Sadler by name, but she explicitly told Ryan Seacrest that equality and safety in the workplace should not be controversial. Seacrest and Rancic chose not to speak on the matter, only stating that they loved Sadler. Rancic deflected the topic onto the feminist movement of the ceremony, in general, saying equal rights was the point of the night.
Sadler left E! News last month after a very public pay dispute in which she accused the network of paying her male co-host, Jason Kennedy, double her salary. Sadler said that E! had wanted to extend her contract, and that she had learned about the pay discrepancy, and used that knowledge in her negotiations. Sadler said she refused to remain at the network when it became clear E! had no intentions of raising her salary. E! released a statement wishing Sadler luck in her career outside the network, while claiming that they pay their employees fairly and based on merit.
After learning about the mini-revolution storming the red carpet in her honor, Sadler told People she was "immensely grateful" for the and thanked many of the actresses by name. It appears E! has yet to comment on the interviews and Hollywood's clear opinions on Sadler's salary discrepancy.
