Good Trouble is the The Fosters, following sisters Callie and Mariana as they fight for their dreams and hearts. Mariana is the tech-savvy extrovert who has ambitions of making the next big app. Callie is way less of a social butterfly than Mariana but she is just as ambitious as her sister, with the goal of being a successful defense lawyer. Callie is tricked by Mariana into moving into the coterie, a communal living space in Los Angeles where everyone shares the kitchen and bathroom, but thankfully there are stalls.
While it takes a minute to grow on the girls, the coterie ends up being home and the roommates they meet while living there become like family. Callie, Mariana, and the eccentric group of people in their lives all have a big range of personalities and each of the zodiac signs can be seen in the group.
Aries: Mariana
Like Aries has often been described, Mariana is a force of nature, as she smashes right through her obstacles and her confidence and enthusiasm for learning have helped her become one of the top coders.
Her sense of adventure is the main reason Callie and her end up in Los Angeles surrounded by a new group of friends. She has a very dynamic personality, being just as likely to be at the mall as she would be leading a strike against misogyny in the workplace.
Taurus: Isaac
Like most Taurus, Malika's boyfriend Isaac enjoys the pleasures of life and can be jealous and possessive of Malika at times. His Taurus persistence allowed him to win over Malika after numerous attempts to ask her out.
Despite all the tough qualities, Taurus can be very warmhearted and make great friends, and Issac has shown this by opening up his heart to Malika's large group of friends and attending all the numerous events that get thrown there, despite his social anxiety.
Gemini: Dennis
A good reflection of the twin sign is Dennis. He comes off a playboy but is really a sweet family man who is trying to figure out a way through his grief.
He is full of wit and is one of the most observative in the house, these Gemini traits allowing him to be the shoulder to lean on for a lot of the occupancy of the coterie. Even though he is a lot older than most of them, his youthfulness and liveliness make him fit right in.
Cancer: Davia
Davia can be overemotional at times and even moody likes Cancers can be but she's also true Cancer due to her protective and loving nature. Of all the zodiac signs, Cancers make the best friends and this can be seen in Good Trouble, with Davia being there for all the of the house at one time or another, especially Dennis.
Her cancer trait of having trouble letting go make it hard for her to get past her mother's prodding about her weight but her intuition tells her that she's beautiful and she uses her body positively to inspire a lot of girls through her Instagram.
Leo: Lindsay
Lindsay is the stand-up comedian who helps Alice get her big break. Like Leos tend to be, it's hard to tell Lindsay's true intentions at times, especially when it comes to Alice. They may be helping her out of kindness or have an ulterior motive, but so far on the show, they have been pretty helpful, even if they can't seem to resist throwing in some of their signature egos in every time.
As a true Leo, they can come off as bossy and patronizing but that's because they actually really care about the craft and hate to see talent go to waste, a shared mentality among many creative Leos.
Virgo: Evan
Mariana's boss Evan is intelligent and levelheaded and has O.C.D. which can cause him to be fussy and be a bit of a perfectionist. Virgos can often be all of the above, being the analyzer of the zodiac.
He loves to help out Mariana with her ideas but his tendency to overanalyze things and have a very practical view can sometimes cause him to upset her when his words don't come outright. But his Virgo traits of being reliable and diligent make it so he's there for her in the most important ways.
Libra: Jamie
Callie's lawyer ex-boyfriend Jamie fits Libra to a tee. Callie herself might be a Libra considering her strong need to make sure justice is being served, but since she sometimes breaks the law in order to succeed at that, she belies her true Scorpio nature.
The biggest reason leading to Callie and Jamie's breakup was when she stole documents out of his briefcase to prove that his firm was deceiving tenants of the apartment her job was representing. This incident drew a firm line between the two of them, Callie feels vindicated in her choice while Jamie's Libra traits of being diplomatic and law-abiding disallow him from seeing it as anything but a betrayal.
Scorpio: Callie
Between her time on The Fosters and presently on Good Trouble, she proved that she is a force to be reckoned with due to her very Scorpio tendencies to be very determined and tenacious. She, like most Scorpios, is very ionate once she settles on a cause. Her Scorpio traits maker her to be a force to be reckoned with, especially her powerful magnetism.
Her past has left her a little guarded and secretive at times, but this, paired with the fact that Scorpios are known to be great at coercing information from people should continue to mold her into a great attorney.
Sagittarius: Sumi
This fire sign is known for being a free spirit and a little selfish, and these adjectives can be used to describe Alice's ex-girlfriend and current houseguest, Sumi. Viewers are first introduced to Sumi right before her engagement to the girl she left Alice for.
But the Sagittarius often feels lost and is always in search of the right path, making them indecisive and this causes her to waver in her choices. But she uses her optimism to pull through and try again with Lindsay. And since Sagittarius and Leo together usually make a fiery romance, her optimism is not misguided.
Capricorn: Alice
Capricorns are well known for their strong social responsibility and having a great sense of humor, two traits perfect for describing Alice. She is the comedian in the house, literally, as she performs standup for a living.
And is also the manager of the coterie, a job that only someone with the Capricorn traits of hospitality and strong leadership skills could pull off. Her careful nature held her back for a while but she's finally taking a chance and letting go of her reservations.
