The publisher initially placed a $10 price tag on the PS5 upon announcing God of War Ragnarok and Gran Turismo 7. And the latest Gran Turismo-related news indicates the company has not changed its mind on the matter, either.
With roughly six months to go before launch, Sony and Polyphony Digital have outlined PS5 upgrade and pre-order details for Gran Turismo 7 in a Sony's PlayStation Direct, or the PS Store can expect to receive the following digital extras: 100,000 in-game Credit, Toyota Castrol TOM’S Supra, Mazda RX-VISION GT3 Concept (Stealth), and Porsche 917K Living Legend.
Since pre-orders go live today, September 21, Sony additionally let loose information about the 25th Anniversary Edition ($89.99), which includes a PS5 game disc and PS4 game voucher, 1,100,000 Credits, Toyota GR Yaris with country-specific Livery, 30 manufacturer/partner Avatars, soundtrack, Toyota Castrol TOM’S Supra, Mazda RX-VISION GT3 Concept (Stealth), and Porsche 917K Living Legend. Pre-purchasing a physical version of the 25th Anniversary from retailers or PS Direct will also net fans access to a Steelbook case.
In addition, Gran Turismo faithful may want to take a look at the 25th Anniversary Digital Deluxe Edition ($89.99). This option packs in 1,600,000 Credits, Dual Entitlement for PS4/PS5, and all of the digital bonuses featured in the other 25th Anniversary package.
Originally set to launch sometime in 2021, Gran Turismo 7's due date received a push to 2022 because of covid-related production challenges. This will mark the iconic racing franchise's first release since Gran Turismo Sport launched in 2017. Much like its predecessor, GT7's online requirement has caused quite a bit of contention amongst fans.
