After over eleven years of waiting since Grand Theft Auto 5 was released, the next installment in the series may be on the horizon as Grand Theft Auto 6's first trailer released in December 2023 to record-setting viewership across social media.

Recently, video game journalist Geoff Keighley unveiled a new release window for the long-awaited game through his personal X . During Rockstar parent company Take Two Interactive's most recent earnings call, Keighley revealed that they hope to release Grand Theft Auto 6 within the "fall of calendar 2025." As such, Grand Theft Auto 6 may finally be in gamer's hands between late September 2025 and December 2025.

What Does Take Two's Release Window Mean For The Future Of Grand Theft Auto 6

Promotion Could Pick Up With Roughly A Year Until Release

With this latest update, audiences may be excited as Grand Theft Auto 6 has seemingly set itself up as one of the games to look out for in 2025. Furthermore, with Take Two acknowledging a release window, some gamers may be curious if they could see the title's promotion cycle pick up steam, especially with Keighley's comment and him set to unveil a showcase of new titles and trailers for existing games during The Games Awards on December 13. While not a dedicated broadcast solely focused on reveals, a new Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer would be a highlight of the stream.
