Grand Theft Auto 6 news has been floating around as early as 2019, with all kinds of rumors and speculations regarding Rockstar's next game. Such rumors put forward that GTA 6 would have an expansive map featuring locations from past games such as Vice City, San Andreas, and Liberty City. Other sources indicated that the next game would take place in a completely new area. However, the popular Project Americas fan rumor proposed the game would return to Vice City and feature a new fictional location based on Rio de Janeiro. Playable missions within Liberty City were also specified but would lack the free roam aspect. While many were skeptical, this supposed leak may just be true- according to details from Bloomberg.

Grand Theft Auto 6 May Return to Vice City

Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, whom many view as a significant authority on projects in the industry, has come forward with a batch of new information regarding GTA 6. According to Schreier, Grand Theft Auto 6 will take players to a fictional version of Miami and its surrounding areas. This rumor definitely points to the possibility of a return to fan-favorite Vice City, just as the Project Americas rumor suggests.

As fans wait for more official news, fake GTA 6 leaks are everywhere, and some of the details proposed by Bloomberg seem to clash with the Project Americas leak. One such conflicting detail is a potential GTA 6 female protagonist, with the latter suggesting that players would assume the role of a drug lord-wannabe named "Ricardo" instead. Although the recent batch of rumors seems credible, fans should still remain skeptical as many details are yet to be confirmed by Rockstar itself. For now, the many updates coming to Grand Theft Auto Online should keep fans satisfied until Grand Theft Auto 6 finally arrives in the coming years.
