A self-proclaimed Rockstar insider recently alleged that a direct reference to the much-anticipated GTA 6, which is believed to be set in a reimagined version of one of the series' old locations.

While very little official information has been revealed regarding GTA 6, gamers from across the globe have spent the past few years scouring old game files, social media, job listings, and more in attempts to uncover details about the next entry in the illustrious crime series. There are certainly some conflicting s, but most fans seem to believe that GTA 6 will be the most expansive game the developer has released, likely taking some hints from 2018's Red Dead Redemption II. The fanbase has seen plenty of fervent discussion about the game's setting as well, with the general consensus being that GTA will likely not take place in Liberty City or San Andreas. Some even believe that multiple cities will be featured in GTA 6.

A new piece of GTA 6 information has arrived, courtesy of Twitter Matheusvictorbr- (via GamesRadar). The tweet contains an image of what appears to be a one-story house nestled behind palm trees and other tropical plants. This image is the same one that some fans may recognize as a new addition in the San Andreas remaster from last year, as a photo of this house can be found hanging on a wall. Matheusvictorbr- claims they were able to confirm that this is, in fact, a screenshot from GTA 6.

If this leak is to be believed, it could have major implications for the  GTA 6, mainly with regard to its setting. The plant life surrounding the house suggests that it is in a tropical environment, and the house itself indicates a contemporary, first-world setting. This means that both San Andreas and Vice City are still on the table as possible settings, though they could just be part of a much larger map.

It could be a while before any official GTA 6 info is released, so fans should treat this leak with a healthy dose of skepticism. Even if Matheusvictorbr- is correct in their assertion, many details can be subject to change at this point in development, so exactly how GTA 6 and its setting will turn out is anyone's guess. Rockstar has been remarkably tight-lipped about Grand Theft Auto 6, so it's likely that the fan base will continue to speculate about the game for some time.
