Back in 2019, Oliver Queen hid a mysterious box that left readers wondering about its contents. Now, five years later, that box has resurfaced, and the truth about Green Arrow's secret weapon will soon be revealed after all this time.
Green Arrow has officially become a threat to the Justice League.
In the preview for Green Arrow #15 by Joshua Williamson and Amancay Nahuelpan, Oliver is off on a mission as a member of Amanda Waller's Task Force, having betrayed the Justice League to her side. He reaches a remote location in search of something, which turns out to be a box he was given long ago. This is no ordinary box, though; it's said to hold a weapon powerful enough to destroy the Justice League.
With this weapon in tow, Green Arrow is preparing himself for a battle against the Justice League, but one question remains: what exactly is in the box?

Green Arrow's Greatest Mystery Will Finally Be Solved
s from Justice League: No Justice #4 by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Joshua Williamson, Francis Manapul, Hi-Fi, and AndWorld Design
Green Arrow first received this destructive weapon in Justice League: No Justice #4, when Martian Manhunter trusted him with it due to his ability to stand up to the League. Although he never revealed what the weapon was, Oliver held onto it for some time. He then buried the box in Green Arrow #50 by Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, and Javier Fernández, and its contents have remained a mystery in the five years since. Now that the Emerald Archer has dug it back up, the stage is set for this mystery to finally be solved.

The weapon Green Arrow now possesses is capable of taking down the Justice League, and there's no telling what it might be. Judging by the green glow the box emits, the weapon could potentially be made of Kryptonite. Superman is the Justice League's strongest hero, so it would make sense for an anti-Justice League weapon to target his weakness.
However, the superheroes are already weakened after Waller's Amazos drained their powers in Absolute Power #1 by Mark Waid and Dan Mora, meaning Kryptonite is no longer necessary to beat Superman. Regardless of what the box contains, Green Arrow has officially become a threat to the Justice League.
