Warning: contains spoilers for Green Lantern #16!Being a the occasional anime mech suit, though some Green Lanterns do seem to favor constructs that pack a little punch. In a new adventure, Hal Jordan and John Stewart come up with a new construct that puts Batman's billion-dollar Batmobile to shame.

Hal Jordan and John Stewart are cleaning up space during an intergalactic war alongside Star Sapphire and other allies in Green Lantern #16 by Jeremy Adams and Xermánico. After winning a brief battle, the war still rages, and the two Green Lanterns decide to head back to Oa to get some reinforcements - only, they do it in style.

Green Lanterns Ride In Style In Space Cars, Running Over Their Enemies

Blasting through an army of enemies in two new vehicular constructs, the Green Lanterns create a monster truck and a muscle car to sail through space, giving them the coolest new ride of the modern All In era. The transparent constructs mean fans can simultaneously see the cars' interiors and exteriors, with Hal and John giving themselves the coolest fighting machines they can imagine.

Green Lanterns Are Known For Their Sick Space Rides

Kyle Rayner Raised the Bar for Everyone

All Green Lanterns can create constructs, but they do so very differently depending on their personalities. John Stewart and Hal Jordan are two of the most skillful construct creators, with Hal being a professional pilot and Stewart a former marine and architect, giving them an exhaustive understanding of how complex objects like engines are constructed. The pair are known to create incredibly detailed constructs, which is seen in their choice of cars.

In contrast, Green Lantern Kyle Rayner is a comic book artist known for his creativity. Declining to sail through space with just super flight, he resolved to ride in a new construct every time, including a slick car named the Green Machine and even a pirate ship, complete with a crew and working cannons.

Batman Is Limited in Ways Green Lanterns Just Aren't

Batman and Movie Batmobiles in Beyond the White Knight

While the Batmobile is an impressive piece of tech, constantly updated with the latest in cutting edge invention, it's also limited by what materials Bruce Wayne can find. In contrast, the Green Lanterns can summon whatever they can imagine, including a car that can speed through space. Hal Jordan and John Stewart not only outshine the Dark Knight in creativity and power but in improvisational ease. They win the battle precisely because their enemies weren't expecting monster trucks in outer space.

That kind of creative power is what makes Green Lantern a formidable foe - the hero could never be satisfied with just one Batmobile when he can summon any vehicle, custom-designed for the situation at hand.
