Fans React To GTA 6 Trailer 2 Getting A Surprise Drop On YouTube

The Trailer Came Out Of Nowhere, After The Game's Delay Last Week

GTA 6 was officially delayed last week from a purported fall 2025 release to May 2026, so this sudden trailer drop was unexpected, but fans are loving it. The video description for the trailer reads:

"Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will come 13 years after GTA 5, but that isn't the longest wait for a game sequel. Other series have had it much worse.

Fans seem to be excited that there is finally a new trailer at all, despite a lot of people having mixed reactions to the game's delay. This new trailer seems to have taken away that sting for most, with DoctorER saying, "Dropping this makes the delay hurt a little less." The new trailer was surprising since it was suddenly dropped early in the morning with no announcement or hints at all. BarisWick1 said: "I went to YouTube and the first thing that came up was GTA VI trailer, I was shocked and very happy."

Fan reactions have been virtually universally positive, with particular praise for the game's visuals, music, and gameplay, despite the lack of any direct gameplay in the trailer. Samdearborn3836 said: "the level of nuance and detail they’re fitting in the facial animations, ambient lighting, reflections in glass and off water is just next level." While there is no direct footage of gameplay in this new trailer, we may be getting hints about certain elements, such as Jason jumping into a moving car while Lucia is driving, and Lucia using a grenade launcher to blow up cars on the highway.

It's almost as if most people have at least briefly forgotten any animosity towards Grand Theft Auto 6 or Rockstar Games because of the delay last week. No matter how you may feel about the delay and the new release date, this trailer is packed full of new, diverse footage, and it's making a lot of fans really happy.
