GTA 6 was officially delayed last week from a purported fall 2025 release to May 2026, so this sudden trailer drop was unexpected, but fans are loving it. The video description for the trailer reads:

"Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.

Fans seem to be excited that there is finally a new trailer at all, despite a lot of people having mixed reactions to the game's delay. This new trailer seems to have taken away that sting for most, with DoctorER saying, "Dropping this makes the delay hurt a little less." The new trailer was surprising since it was suddenly dropped early in the morning with no announcement or hints at all.
