An ambitious cosplay lifts Guardians of the Galaxy comics and drops him into the real world, all without the extensive CGI the MCU used to depict the spacefaring hero.

A native of the chaotic planet Halfworld, Rocket Raccoon began his life as an ordinary animal who was experimented on by Halfworld's robots in an effort to improve relations with the remaining human population. Gifted with advanced intelligence and a human sense of awareness, Rocket quickly made a mark on his world by participating in Halfworld's war between animals and humans. Eventually, Rocket would be drafted into the galactic conflict surrounding the Annihilation Wave, founding the Guardians of the Galaxy with Peter Quill's Star-Lord.

Now, cosplayer Rocket Raccoon hates Earth, both because of the degree of trouble its heroes and villains cause in the wider universe and since it's the place he's most likely to be misidentified as a Raccoon. However, Miisty Cosplay's images make a good case for Rocket finding something to love about the planet.

While some characters are easy to recreate with a store-bought mask or a patterned body suit, future X-Man Cable has revealed that even in Marvel's far future, he's ed as a tactical genius and war hero.

With the character having been an established Guardian of the Galaxy for over two decades, constantly risking his life to save others and defeat major evils like Thanos and Annihilus, it's satisfying to see devoted fans honor him alongside other iconic heroes, despite it taking so much more effort to accurately recreate the hero. Committed Guardians of the Galaxy fans can live in hope that they'll run into this incredibly lifelike Rocket out in real-life.
