While much remains under wraps, new information outlines what's in store in of file size.
In scraping details from PSN, Twitter Guardians of the Galaxy will weigh in at 41.243GB on PlayStation 5. The reliable source also confirmed the game's preload date - Sunday, October 24. This, of course, is just two days ahead of the licensed title's full release the following Tuesday. PlayStation Game Size's post makes no mention of the file size on PS4, and there isn't word on how Guardians of the Galaxy will fare across other platforms in this regard.
As noted above, Eidos Montréal hasn't confirmed whether its latest project will receive a day one patch. And since the game has yet to go gold, this bit of news may not emerge for a while. Thus, there's currently no way of knowing what the full size at the start may entail, but at least the two days of preload time will give fans a head start.
Eidos Montréal developers previously said everything the adventure has on offer will be available out of the box. Guardians of the Galaxy won't feature microtransactions, then, nor does the studio plan on rolling out post-launch able content.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy comes to Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms this fall on October 26.
