As players fight find, craft, and use a vast arsenal of guns, knives and swords, explosives, and bows throughout the main campaign to defend themselves against the Horde. If a player chooses to fight primarily with a firearm, they will need gunpowder, which can be found in various locations around what's left of NOLA.
Players can expect to find gunpowder where they would normally find resources: inside the Green Boxes of Stuff scattered around the map. However, there are a few other locations players can search to scavenge or farm extra gunpowder. Because gunpowder is a precious resource for players who prefer fighting with firearms, players will want to know how to get to it before they are caught off guard without a functional weapon. This guide will provide locations where players can get more gunpowder in Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners before they need it.
Find Gunpowder in Green Boxes of Stuff or Effigies in Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
The easiest and most likely place to find gunpowder in the game is inside a Green Box of Stuff. There will always be 12 gunpowder in one of these boxes, and players are encouraged to grab all of it when they find it.
Effigies will always hold three gunpowder units, so players will want to be sure to loot those as well. Finally, Matches can be a decent source of gunpowder, as they produce two units at a time. These are the easiest and most obvious places to look for this important resource.
Find Gunpowder in Skulls in Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
Players can also loot gunpowder from skulls in the catacombs behind the bus. Every time a player leaves and returns to the location, the catacombs will reset, allowing players to farm gunpowder in this location almost indefinitely.
When a player makes it to the catacombs, they will need to eliminate 4 Walkers. They will have to repeat this each time they leave and come back. Inside the catacombs, players need to loot the skulls. There will be between 10 and 30 skulls inside each time, and each skull will have one unit of gunpowder.
Players can also find gunpowder in another, more random location. At Memory Lane, inside a red house, players can find a voodoo doll that contains 3 gunpowder units. They can also find some from pawn bots.
