Warning! Potentially spoilers for Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse by Marvel Comics below

Marvel Comics is soon entering the Gwenverse, meaning many new versions of Gwen Stacy will make an appearance in the Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse limited series. As part of the comic's promotion, Gwen Stacy cosplays as the X-Men's Dazzler in a cover for Venom #5 by Russell Dauterman. The Gwenverse cosplay cover is part of the X-Gwen series of covers that will appear across numerous Marvel Comics titles ahead of the series. The cover is a stand variant.

In November, Marvel Comics announced a brand new limited series from Tim Seely and Jodi Nishijima that will feature different variants of the popular character, Gwen Stacy. Titled Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse, the comic will star Spider-Gwen as she meets other versions of herself from different timelines. Marvel has already dropped a handful of teasers for the Multiverse-spanning comic, including David Nakayama's Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse #2 cover featuring Spider-Gwen teaming up with ThorGwen. Additionally, as part of the promotion for the crossover series, Gwen Stacy will get her own X-Gwen covers that put the heroes in the shoes of some of the X-Men's greatest characters.

On his Twitter , artist Russell Dauterman (X-Men: Hellfire Gala) shared his Gwenverse tie-in cover that will appear on Venom #5. The image features Gwen Stacy cosplaying as the Dazzler. Dazzler-Gwen wears the Dazzler's iconic jumpsuit from her disco days, with blue face paint. The look is stellar and made every more exciting with Dazzler's powers lighting up the skies behind her. So naturally, the disco-loving mutant holds a microphone in what's undoubtedly a show-stopping performance.

Dauterman is a superstar artist, especially when it comes to costume designs. His work on the Hellfire Gala event was among the best in comics, as his designs for heroes such as the X-Men's Jean Grey, Storm, and Emma Frost were gorgeous. Dazzler might not be as popular as those heroes, but Dauterman bringing his take on the hero's iconic disco costume fits his style perfectly. If Dazzler ever gives up music, Gwen Stacy at least looks the part of being a potential replacement.

For those who want to pick up Russell Dauterman's Dazzler cosplay cover, the Gwen Stacy variant will appear on Venom #5, released on February 9, 2022. Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse #1 by Tim Seely and Jodi Nishijima by Marvel Comics will release on the same date.
