Keith David, the voice behind Halo Infinite. The legendary actor has lent his talents to the disgraced Covenant warrior-turned-unlikely ally to Master Chief from 2004’s Halo 2 onward, serving as a secondary playable character and popular figure throughout Microsoft's long-running sci-fi shooter franchise despite initial mixed reaction from the fanbase regarding the idea of taking control away from series mainstay John- 117.

Aside from his work as the Arbiter, Keith David is no stranger to gaming. His distinct and memorable voice has been heard in such roles as Alliance Captain David Anderson in Mortal Kombat 11, and now it seems that David could be returning to the Halo universe for 343 Industries’ latest installment.

As reported by GameRant earlier today, Keith David was asked about possibly returning to voice the Arbiter in Halo Infinite on Twitter, to which he playfully responded that he would "have to kill you” if he answered. Fans in the comment section have responded positively to this playful tease, although nothing official has been confirmed regarding the Arbiter making an appearance in Infinite.

Halo Infinite was originally set to serve as an a mascot of sorts for Halo following his brief appearance during the aforementioned July demo.

Halo 5 featured a reunion between the Arbiter and Master Chief, so it’s well within the realm of possibility for Arbiter to return to aid the Chief in Halo Infinite. He remains a reasonably popular character with plenty of story potential, and hearing Keith David’s iconic gravelly voice is always a treat for players. However, it's still up in the air whether or not David is only humoring fans on social media with a cryptic tease of a comeback appearance, so fans should keep watch for official confirmation as Halo Infinite approaches its highly-anticipated launch next year.
