E3 is just right around the corner, and a recent teaser image for Microsoft and Bethesda's t press conference gives a glimpse of what fans can expect when it comes to Halo Infinite's multiplayer customization options. If this teaser image is anything to go by, fans of Halo: Reach will likely be very, very happy with what's in store.
Developer 343 Industries has been largely quiet about reveal of Halo Infinite multiplayer during its June 13 press conference, and the image in question specifically shows of some Halo: Reach armor sets fans will be familiar with.
343 Industries has previously said that fans of Halo: Reach's style of armor customization would appreciate Halo Infinite's customization features, but fans perhaps didn't expect the developer to take that so literally by actually including identifiable armor sets from iconic Halo: Reach characters. Here's everything revealed in the teaser image, and what it could mean for Halo Infinite.
Halo Infinite Teasing Halo: Reach Armor And Customizations
Halo: Reach's Noble team included some of the most iconic characters in the entire Halo series, with characters like the intimidating Emile, complete with signature skull-etched EVA helmet, and the sniper Jun. It looks like both Emile and Jun's senses of style will be available for players to choose from in Halo Infinite, with Microsoft's press conference teaser image clearly showing a helmet almost identical to Emile's, as well as a Spartan wearing a half-cloak that looks similar to Jun's Halo: Reach attire.
Various pieces of armor worn by main characters in the series have appeared in numerous versions of Halo multiplayer over the years, so perhaps it's not surprising Halo Infinite would want to include Halo: Reach armor sets. Regardless, it's a good sign for players, as the more armor sets available to choose from for customization purposes, the better. There are other hints of Halo: Reach in the teaser image as well, such as the camera bolted on to the side of one Spartan's helmet. Nearly every helmet in Halo: Reach sported multiple variants with different gadgets and gizmos attached to the base helmet, and it certainly seems like a similar style of customization will be returning for Halo Infinite.
The teaser image also shows off new weapons coming to the game, such as the previously announced Sidekick pistol (seen in Halo Infinite's gameplay reveal) as well as an Assault Rifle with a red-colored "coating" applied to it and what appears to be a new, alien energy-based weapon of some sort. What exactly some of these new weapons might do is still up in the air, but fans can expect to learn plenty more information on new maps, weapons, vehicles, modes, and more soon.
All in all, it should make for an exciting E3 for Halo fans. If a Halo Infinite multiplayer reveal is coming, then a public beta test of some kind can't be far behind either, which will allow eager players to get their hands on the game for the first time. If Halo Infinite's trajectory is anything like that of Halo: MCC's multiplayer approach, fans might want to start getting excited.
