Developer 343 Industries has reportedly received assistance on Halo Infinite's original teaser represented the highlight of Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference, and fans have since seen a good chunk of the "spiritual reboot" in action.
The shooter's biggest showing hit the web last July during the Microsoft delayed Halo Infinite to fall 2021.
As reported by Gears studio lending 343 a hand comes by way of Hugo Gutierrez Mares' résumé, which notes the VFX artist worked at The Coalition from July 2017 to December 2020 and, during that period, contributed to Halo Infinite's campaign and cinematics. 343 hasn't corroborated these claims.
The two development houses possibly sharing resources and staff shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Both are Microsoft-owned teams after all, and it's not an uncommon practice in the industry at-large. For example, DICE, the Battlefield and Frostbite Engine creator, has been known to extend a helping hand to other EA-owned studios for all of their Frostbite-related needs. If The Coalition is similarly stepping up to assist 343, such a partnership can only benefit Halo Infinite in the long run.
Whether or not this news will alleviate worries about the shooter's production remains to be seen. The game has lost plenty of talent over the years, yet series veterans have also returned in recent months in an effort to get the project back on track. Hopefully, all of the above serves as a sign that 343 has turned things around for Halo Infinite.
Halo Infinite will come to the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms on an unspecified date this year.
