The first teaser trailer for Happy Gilmore 2 previews Adam Sandler's return to one of his most famous roles. Although plot details have generally been quiet, it's known that some of Sandler's co-stars will be reprising their characters from the first movie.

On Christmas Day, Netflix shared the first extended look and teaser for Happy Gilmore 2, which carries a bit of a holiday and general Christmas theme. The teaser, which runs for roughly 30 seconds, confirms that the sequel will be released in 2025. It also highlights some of the returning cast , including Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald in their respective roles as Virginia Venit and the villainous Scooter McGavin.

The teaser does reveal that Virginia and Happy are together, as the couple share a quick kiss. Finally, in the teaser's last shot, Scooter and Happy face off. Standing across from each other, it's clear that old animosities haven't abided. The preview likewise includes a shot of Bad Bunny, who co-stars alongside Margaret Qualley, comedian Nick Swardson, Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi), and Benny Safdie, but most do not appear in the teaser. Neither does Ben Stiller, who is also back as Hal L.
