As soon as he was sorted into Gryffindor, the House became recognized for many audiences, and most Potterheads daydreamed about being placed in the same house as the beloved protagonist. There are many things that define Gryffindor and fortunately, there are hilarious memes that can sum it up.

Godric Gryffindor was the founder of the lion House of Hogwarts (which obviously has his last name in his honor). Gryffindors are famous for being brave, but even though being courageous is what supposedly defines them and is the main trait the Sorting Hat is looking for when placing students in the House of Godric, there are that have shown the opposite of nerve.
The greatest example of this is Peter Pettigrew, whose extreme fear of the Dark Lord drove him to become his most loyal servant, betray his closest friends, and stay hidden for years disguised as Scabbers, among other things that proved he was the biggest coward of the Wizarding World.
Quidditch Champions
Gryffindor has won at least four championships in Hogwarts and has had very skillful players among their ranks, including James Potter, Minerva McGonagall, multiple Weasleys, and of course, Harry Potter. The boy who lived became the youngest seeker in 100 years and proved how talented he was in every single match.
It is difficult to imagine any Quidditch game without the thrill and excitement that Gryffindor players bring into each tournament, especially in the movies. The behind-the-scenes facts about Quidditch make it all more enjoyable and interesting to see, and nobody can't help but give all the attention to Gryffindor, instead of the other houses.
Slytherin's Rivals
Gryffindor is notorious rivals with Slytherin and throughout all the books and movies, most conflicts revolve around the of these two houses. Dumbledore, a Gryffindor, puts all his might and strength into defeating Tom Riddle, a Slytherin, Molly kills Bellatrix, and Harry, Ron, and Hermione are always fighting Draco, Goyle, and Crabbe.
Although it is impossible that in the Wizarding World, a picture like the one in the meme could have been taken without Gryffindors and Slytherins trying to kill each other, it's wonderful that the actors put their character's differences aside to take a memorable picture.
There's A Fine Line Between Slytherins and Gryffindors
There are many Gryffindor quotes that prove they are not that different from Slytherins and that there is a fine line that differentiates from both Houses. Harry Potter himself was probably going to be a Slytherin if it wasn't for his specific wish of not being placed there (and that was taken into by the Sorting Hat).
Many fans point out how Slytherin is full of ill-intended students, but James Potter was very cruel towards Snape, who was a Slytherin. Potter severely bullied Severus throughout all of his school years, so maybe destiny played a UNO reverse card and Harry had to pay for his father's bad karma with Draco Malfoy.
All Potters Were Gryffindors
James Potter, Lily Evans, and Harry Potter were all Gryffindors and exceptional ones. There is no wonder why Albus Severus was scared of being placed into Slytherin. If that had been the case, he would break his family's Gryffindor streak.
His mom, Ginny Weasley, also came from a family that had only Gryffindor . Instead of being called Albus Severus, maybe he should have been named Gryffindor Potter instead, given that of the Hogwart's House run strongly in his veins.
Dumbledore's Favorites
Every Potterhead laughs about Dumbledore's unfair point count that led Gryffindor to take the House Cup from Slytherin at the very last minute. On multiple occasions, the Hogwarts heaster gave out points to Gryffindor for any reason that seemed good enough, so it is believable that he would give ten points to the House because a student so much as breathed.
Ever since Harry Potter arrived, it was obvious that Dumbledore had favoritism for his House. Although maybe he might have felt bad about raising Harry essentially like an animal for slaughter and wanted to give him the best school years before he died to defeat Voldemort, and that might be why he was particularly giving with Gryffindor.
