If there is one Harry Potter house that knows what they like and what they don't, it's Slytherin. When it comes to their opinions on movies and television, it likely wouldn't matter if it's comedy, drama, reality, classic, or something brand new, Slytherins are probably not going to be wishy-washy when it comes to their preference.

Netflix has a plethora of original content and, if this part of the muggle world crossed over into Hogwarts, odds are that the Slytherin common room would be sharing a few s. Taking a look at the library of Netflix Originals, here are just a few series Slytherins would love and a few others they would hate.

Love - House Of Cards

house of cards

If any house would appreciate the political maneuvering and underhanded power moves that House of Cards is best known for, it would be Slytherin.

It's not just that Slytherin is often the bad guys (and Francis Underwood certainly is evil), they would also appreciate the themes of the show that surround having lofty goals and working hard to achieve them with only a few people to help that you can really trust. There's a lot here for ambitious Slytherins to appreciate.

Hate - The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance

Dark Crystal Age of Resistance

Aside from the fact that a Slytherin audience isn't likely to appreciate the mix of live-action and puppetry that tale of good fighting evil might not sit well with the house of the snake either.

Slytherins are too used to being stereotyped to fully embrace another classic tale about the forces good and evil being painted in black and white. Slytherins know better and, having to deal with so much love for Gryffindor in their everyday lives, they're not likely to search out classic heroics in their leisure time.

Love - Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones

Just because Slytherins don't always appreciate simple tales of good vs evil, doesn't mean they don't appreciate a good hero. The Marvel/Netflix original series Jessica Jones is more likely to please a Slytherin audience when they go searching for a hero of their own.

Jessica Jones has incredible power, but also has suffered, and knows that not everything is always as it seems. She's a hero, but sometimes reluctant, and this is something a Slytherin can definitely relate to.

Hate - The Witcher

monster), but another story about a chosen one and a school for magic isn't likely to make a Slytherin audience sit on the edge of their seats.

Add to this the fact that the Netflix Original is based on another series of muggle books and Slytherins might feel just a bit jealous. And the theme of competition here is unlikely to stir up feelings of enjoyment.

Love - Godless

Jeff Daniels in Godless Netflix

Godless was a Netflix Original miniseries starring Jeff Daniels and it followed the exploits of outlaw Frank Griffin as he seeks to kill a member of his criminal gang who abandoned him.

The complex morality of the Wild West is very likely to intrigue a Slytherin audience. The show, as per usual, does get into the idea of good vs evil, but when it comes to protecting oneself in a lawless territory, there's a lot more going on here than in the usual fantasy or action miniseries.

Hate - The Letter For The King

10 Pivotal Moments You And Me Tiuri-The Letter For The King

Netflix's The Letter for the King is another fantasy series based on a set of books in which a young chosen one must fight the forces of evil to save his world. Sound familiar?

Slytherins, besides being a bit put off by the familiar Gryffindor-esque storyline, would also likely prefer to spend their leisure time watching something more original, rather than a rehashing of the standard magical medieval storyline.

Love - GLOW

GLOW

Not every Netflix Original made for a Slytherin needs to be dark or dramatic. Slytherins would definitely love to watch GLOW - The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. This Netflix show is a comedy that follows a failed actress who finds a new role in a TV show about wrestling.

Slytherins would appreciate the smart humor and ambition of the main character, Ruth Wilder. Being underestimated and then using what you know to make a place for yourself in a new world? That's definitely a Slytherin story.

Hate - Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Titus and Jacqueline take Kimmy to school

Kimmy Schmidt's unbreakable optimism is what would turn Slytherins off from this popular Netflix comedy series. Always being able to see the bright side of things (even after being kidnapped and held in a bunker for years) is definitely more of a Hufflepuff quality than a Slytherin's.

While the show does make for great comedy, a Slytherin audience would likely find this program more annoying than interesting, and the catchy theme song more an annoying earworm than a memorable classic piece of music.

Love - 3%

Netflix Brazil The 3% Three Percent

3% is a Brazilian original series on Netflix. The show takes place in the not too distant future, where most of the world lives in poverty while an elite group lives in the riches of the Offshore. Every year, all 20 years olds are given the chance to enter the Offshore by taking a number of tests.

Besides the cunning intellect it takes to the tests, a Slytherin audience would also appreciate the intricate politics and shades of gray that surround both the exams and the existence of the Offshore, in general.

Hate - Fuller House

fuller house Cropped (1)

This reboot of the classic family sitcom, Fuller House was not made with a Slytherin audience in mind. The wholesome morals at the end of each episode, the touching family speeches, and the cameo appearances, are more likely to put a Slytherin to sleep than to entice them to binge-watch.

There's nothing wrong with the show, it just wasn't put together for an audience of ambitious and intellectual witches and wizards.
