Many of these characters are placed in Hogwarts houses based on their attributes. The four houses are Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Gryffindor. Even though the Harry Potter universe continues to expand, for some, the story is over. Take a look at the 5 Ravenclaws who got fitting endings and the 5 who deserved more!

Deserved More: Helena Ravenclaw

Helena Ravenclaw is the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw. She attended Hogwarts in her youth before stealing her mother's crown and fleeing to Albania. Her mother later grew ill and, in an attempt to see her daughter one last time before she died, she sent the Bloody Baron to find her and bring her home. The Bloody Baron wanted to be with Helena but she had no interest in him.

When Helena refused to follow the Baron back to her mother, he murdered her in a fit of rage. After realizing what he had done, he killed himself in remorse. The two continue to live as ghosts in Hogwarts. Helena deserves more than living out her afterlife in a castle with the man who murdered her.

Fitting Ending: Pa Patil

This bright witch was in the same year as Harry Potter in school. She attended Hogwarts with her twin sister and excelled as a member of Ravenclaw house, becoming a prefect in her fifth year.

Pa was a member of Dumbledore's army. She bravely fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and helped to care for the wounded and dead. Pa survived the Battle of Hogwarts and happily graduated from Hogwarts.

Deserved More: Myrtle Warren

Though Myrtle, more commonly known as Moaning Myrtle often serves as comic relief, she is really a tragic character. Myrtle was a muggle-born witch who was murdered by Voldemort by way of the Serpent of Slytherin. This witch was clearly lonely and felt underappreciated both in life and death.

Though she often toyed with Harry, Ron, and Hermione, she did help them several times throughout the story. She was arguably the ghost most helpful in their quest. Yet there is no resolution for Myrtle. She continues to be a lonely spirit, remaining absent from the end of the series.

Fitting Ending: Garrick Ollivander

Everyone's favorite wandmaker, Ollivander had a significant role in Harry Potter. He owned the wand shop that provided many wands to the students of Hogwarts and witches and wizards around the world. His reputation resulted in Lord Voldemort capturing him and torturing him for information.

Luckily Ollivander was rescued by Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Dobby. His rescue led to him sharing crucial information with Harry about the Elder Wand and Voldemort's plans. With this information, Ollivander was able to have a tremendous impact on the war against Voldemort.

Deserved More: Sybill Trelawney

Trelawney is an eccentric and clever witch and professor at Hogwarts. Due to her quirky personality, Trelawney's intelligence is sometimes underappreciated. In truth, Trelawney was vital in the war against Voldemort, as she revealed many accurate prophecies about the things to come. Trelawney fought in the Battle of Hogwarts, hurtling crystal balls and Death Eaters and caring for injured individuals.

After all the good she does, Trelawney deserves to be recognized for her talents. After the Battle of Hogwarts, Trelawney resumes her teaching position and remains at Hogwarts for over another decade. While this isn't a terrible ending, it's not a great one either. While many of the other vital in the charge against Voldemort were commemorated in some way, Trelawney just went back to the way things were before.

Fitting Ending: Gilderoy Lockheart

This self-conceited celebrity author profited off of stealing the stories and memories of other witches and wizards. He authored books claiming to have done heroic acts, but this was revealed to be a sham. There is something particularly cruel ing others, especially people who have done noble deeds.

That is why fans were satisfied when Lockheart casts a memory charm that backfires and wipes his own memory. Lockheart is placed in St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries and forced to live out the same fate he inflicted upon many others. There is nothing more satisfying than that.

Deserved More: Filius Flitwick

Flitwick casts a spell in Harry Potter.

Flitwick is best known for being a charms professor and the head of Ravenclaw house and Hogwarts. He did not stand aside in the face of injustice and he strongly opposed both Voldemort and Dolores Umbridge. He regularly defends the students, including protecting them against the Carrows.

Flitwick entered into battle on several occasions, first in the Battle of the Astronomy Tower and then during the Battle of Hogwarts, where he defeated many Death Eaters. With all of these heroic acts, fans were a bit disappointed that they didn't get much information about what happened to Flitwick following the Battle at Hogwarts. It is assumed that he continued to teach at Hogwarts, but nothing is really known about his future.

Fitting Ending: Quirinus Quirrell

Quirrell attacks Harry in the Philosopher's Stone

Quirrell is the main antagonist of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. This Hogwarts professor set out on a quest to find Voldemort, trying to gain recognition and respect. Unfortunately for him, Voldemort took over his body.

Quirrell put up a slight resistance, but later completely relinquished his power to Voldemort. He faithfully served Voldemort and attempted to kill Harry Potter on multiple occasions, so his death was well deserved.

Deserved More: Cho Chang

Cho deserved more through the entire series, not just in the end. This brilliant witch was often reduced to an item of affection for several of the male characters. The death of her boyfriend Cedric lit a fire under Cho and made her determined to defeat Voldemort. She defied her family's wishes, ing Dumbledore's Army. Even after graduating from Hogwarts, Cho returned to enter the Battle at Hogwarts.

All that is known of her after that is that she married a muggle. Cho proved she was determined and intelligent and she deserved to have an ending that reflected her drive, rather than her relationship status.

Fitting Ending: Luna Lovegood

Luna Lovegood

Luna is one of the brightest witches in the Harry Potter series and she is bold and brave and unique. She regularly assists and s Harry and was an important member of Dumbledore's Army. When Hogwarts fell under the leadership of Voldemort, Luna took action helping to co-lead Dumbledore's Army.

She participated in three major battles - the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, and the Battle of Hogwarts. After Voldemort's reign of terror ended, Luna went on to become a Magizoologist, continuing to explore her love of unique creatures. She also was married and gave birth to twins. Her value was recognized and Harry and Ginny even named their daughter Lily Luna Potter after her.
