Finishing out the year, HBO Max is welcoming plenty of exciting new and classic movies and shows to the cata December 2021. As HBO Max acquires more content with contracts from studios, the classic movies and shows that subscribers have been eagerly missing are slowly returning. With HBO Max’s catalog being separated by Warner Bros. projects, Adult Swim, Turner Classic Movies, HBO originals, Cartoon Network, Sesame Street, Studio Ghibli, and the streaming service’s own original content, there’s never a shortage of new and rewatchable movies and TV shows.

As for HBO Max original content, the streaming service also saw the season 1 premiere of Mindy Kaling’s The Sex Lives of College Girls on November 18 and film premiere of 8-Bit Christmas, starring How I Met Your Mother’s Neil Patrick Harris, on November 24. While 8-Bit Christmas’s movie will remain on the streaming service indefinitely, King Richard will be briefly exiting HBO Max in mid-December.

As the holiday season begins, December 2021 will see plenty of Christmas-themed additions to HBO Max like the series premiere of the animated Santa, Inc. (December 2). The long-awaited fourth installment in the The Suicide Squad (December 23) are finally making their way back to the streaming service.
