As the main source of healing, elixirs are heavily sought after in Nioh 2. Sadly, they can be quite difficult to come by. However, several tiny green spirits can solve this issue.
If a player hasn't yet heard of the Kodama, they are the tiny green spirits that can be found at Kodama Shrines or lost within random locations. These little guys can help players get more elixirs through the use of their shrines.
How to Get Elixirs at the Kodama Shrine in Nioh 2
When a player finds one of the many scattered Kodama Shrines, they should take the time to interact with it. Within the shrine's main menu, players are given three options. They can either make an offering, receive a blessing, or take a peek into the Kodama Bazaar. Players should first make an offering of their collected weapons that are not as useful to them. This will grant them extra Divine Rice which is the currency used by the Kodama within the Kodama Bazaar. The Bazaar is like a tiny little trade post.
Within the Bazaar, several useful items are available for a small number of Divine Rice. These include arrows, pebbles, needle darts, ochoko cups, and elixirs. One of the most expensive items there are is the Elixirs. These sell for four Divine Rice per Elixir. Players can only keep up to eight elixirs on them at a time, but this is well worth fully stocking before any of the main bosses. After purchasing as many of the elixirs as possible, players can also head to the Kodama Blessings part of the Shrine's menu. Here, they can pick up the Healer Blessing.
Blessings are only available to players that have returned the lost Kodama of the area to their shrine. All the player needs to do to return a Kodama is to find them, interact with them, and then head back to the nearest shrine. The Kodamas, in particular, that offer the Healer's Blessing are the two that wear plain cups on their heads. This blessing costs 100 gold but will increase the chance of an elixir dropping from an enemy by 10%. The type of blessing the player has access to will depend on what Kodama is currently at the Shrine that the player is using. Blessings can also be changed any time the player returns to a shrine as long as they have the coin.
Nioh 2 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
