A return to form for realistic First-Person Shooters, Hell Let Loose scratches the itch for players looking for a realistic and tense shooter. Set during the midst of World War II players are allowed to pick a variety of different roles and set forth onto the battlefield. Pitting players against one another in a large-scale 100 person battle. Players will have to work together and move as a unit as they engage in one of the most realistic takes on WWII battles ever created. With humble beginnings as a Kickstarter success, Hell Let Loose has seen a sudden rise in popularity recently. As players are abandoning the more arcade-style of other popular FPS titles available now in favor of a more realistic approach to the genre.
As mentioned, Hell Let Loose provides a whopping 13 different roles for players to utilize. Everything from an engineer to a medic, players are able to choose a variety of unique and fun classes to take on this massive conflict. One of the more underappreciated roles in the game is the powerful Infantry Rifleman, which may seem at first as one of the most simple classes. These players are meant to engage combat encounters from a longer distance than their comrades. Using powerful rifles that dish out big damage in one to two hits.
The Infantry Rifleman's Weapon in Hell Let Loose
Unlike some of his fellow Infantry roles, the Rifleman has a tricker weapon at his disposal. Compared to some of the automatic wielding roles, the Rifleman may require slightly more skill to excel with. And in order to get the most mileage out of this role, it is important to master the American's and German's Rifleman's weapons.
The American Rifleman has an M1 Garand at his disposal, a semi-automatic rifle that has an 8 round magazine capacity. The advantage of the American Rifleman is that the M1 has a much faster fire-rate compared to the German Rifleman. With the ability to fire off more shots, faster, with more ammo, the American Rifleman is a true threat on the battlefield.
The German Rifleman comes equipped with the 5 round Kar98k a bolt-action rifle that packs a serious punch. While it may take much longer to fire off the rounds to put down an enemy player, the Kar98k is as satisfying to fire as it is dangerous. So just get used to the differences between roles and enjoy both Rifleman's weapons
How Does the Hell Let Loose Rifleman Play?
When picking up the Rifleman role, players must learn the ins-and-outs of this class. As it plays very different from some of the "easier" classes in the game. It requires solid game sense and the ability to play well with your teammates.
The Infantry Rifleman requires a more long-range style of play. As the class excels at placing high damage suppressing fire onto troublesome enemies. Its hard-hitting rifles allow the class to excel at picking off one or two enemies from a distance, allowing your more close-range allies to rush forward into enemy territory.
The Infantry Rifleman requires players to master the "hold breath" mechanic. When utilizing these mechanic players get a massive steadiness buff to their rifle and the ability to see further down the battlefield. This is the essence of finding success with the Rifleman as this extra zoom in distance will allow players to fire off more accurate shots onto long-distance targets. So be sure to master this mechanic in order to lay down some deadly suppressing fire onto enemy players.
Using the Rifleman's Gadgets in Hell Let Loose
Although it may be tempting to run away from your squad and lay down some sniper shots on enemy players, the Rifleman is more so equipped to play a ing role to his teammates. It is easy for the Rifleman to quickly get gunned down by players with a more rapid-fire weapon or a well time flank. Here's how you can be a useful Rifleman for your squad and quickly win games.
When discussing the Rifleman's playstyle and gadget usage, players first need to understand the importance of sticking with your squad. More often than not, your teammates will have an automatic weapon, or equipment more fitting of close-range fights, sticking with these players will ensure that you can survive close-range fights while assisting them in defeating long-distance enemies. Your ability to gun down enemies from afar will play well to your allies' weaknesses.
The Rifleman is also equipped with some useful equipment for his allies as he can excel at flushing out close enemies and ensuring longevity in the squad. One of his more powerful items in his inventory is his powerful grenades. The Infantry Rifleman is equipped with two grenades that he can toss either overhanded or underhanded. Overhanded ensures the grenade goes a long distance and the underhanded toss is good for lobbing grenades over walls and bushes. Utilize these grenades to play into your allies' strong points, using these grenades can secure some easy kills or grant your squates kills.
Finally, the most important piece of gear for the Rifleman is his ammo box. When using this item the Rifleman will assemble the ammo box and deploy it to a set location. Doing so will allow his squates to resupply their ammo, grenades, and other equipment. The importance of this item is undeniable, it allows a squad to resupply after intense fights. It is also a way to ensure that your squad can survive the late-game encounters of a match. It also encourages players to stick with the Infantry Rifleman out of hop of getting a necessary resupply as the match concludes.
The Infantry Rifleman is more than just a powerful sniper character. He excels at ing and assisting his squates to either prevent them from dying to long-range threats or to play into their strengths.
