Summary
- The new Helldivers 2 Stun grenade is great for killing Bile Titans, locking them in place for easy kills.
- The best Stratagem to kill Bile Titans is the Eagle 500kg Bomb, consistently one-shotting them, and getting it to hit is much easier with the Stun grenade.
- Other uses of the new grenade include escaping swarms or dealing with mobile enemies like the Charger or Hulk.
One of the toughest Terminid enemies to fight in Helldivers 2 is the Bile Titan, but bringing the right grenade makes them easier to kill. Helldivers 2 has a plethora of heavily armored enemies that are major annoyances for players, and while they rarely spawn at lower levels, they can still heavily complicate missions. On the highest difficulty, Helldive, these enemies often spawn in packs and can easily overwhelm Helldivers, leading to a failed mission.
The Bile Titan is currently the highest-ranking and one of the most annoying Terminid enemies in Helldivers 2, being very large, heavily armored insects that walk on four long legs. Each one has an acid stomach pouch that allows it to fire a heavy beam of acid capable of instantly killing Helldivers if not weakening them for other Terminids. The only way to kill Bile Titans is with heavy explosives, high amounts of consistent damage, or direct shots to the mouth with heavy weapons.

Helldivers 2 Review: "A Refreshingly Fun Power Fantasy"
Helldivers 2 is just about the best-case scenario for a live-service game, and its show-stopping gameplay delivers incredibly visceral moments.
New Helldivers 2 Stun Grenades Are Great For Killing Bile Titans
G-23 Stun Grenade Immobilizes Enemies
Introduced in the new Cutting Edge Warbond, the G-23 Stun Grenade has become a great option for killing Bile Titans. The trickiest part of Bile Titans is that, although they are not the fastest Terminid, they move around enough to make them hard to hit. This applies to both when trying to shoot their heads or blowing them up with Stratagems. The G-23 Stun Grenade solves this problem by locking the Bile Titan in place long enough to easily kill them.
When it comes to Stratagems, the best option is Helldivers 2's Eagle 500kg Bomb. This high explosive airstrike will one-shot Bile Titans consistently if the missile lands on the Titan or near its feet. Anywhere else and it may just weaken it, but that should be an easy fix if the Bile Titan is stunned. Other options that work are the Rocket Pods, Orbital Laser, and Precision Railcannon. However, none of these work as consistently as the 500kg bomb.
Weapons-wise, the vast majority of weapons will suffice for killing Bile Titans. The best options are the Recoilless Rifle or Expandable Anti-Tank Missile, both capable of killing Bile Titans in one or two shots. A Railgun in unsafe mode or Autocannon will also work but require more shots. The newly popular Flamethrower and Arc Thrower are also capable of killing Bile Titans, but they cannot hit the weak spot and take a long time. Finally, the new Patriot Exosuit Stratagem mech in Helldivers 2 can kill Bile Titans with one or two rockets.
The Bile Titan's acid pouch can be destroyed and remove their ability to use the acid attack.
Other Uses For The G-23 Stun Grenade In Helldivers
Crowd Control Specialist
The Stun Grenade has other uses besides defeating Bile Titans. They are great escape tools in a pinch or when dealing with a swarm of enemies. Though they don't kill enemies as fast as the popular Impact Grenade, they are a significantly safer option. This is because of the risk of the Impact killing oneself if enemies are too close or make a last-second lunge. So, if players has a weapon capable of killing a swarm of enemies quickly, the Stun Grenade proves to be a much safer option that achieves the same results.
Great enemies to specifically target with the Stun Grenade include the Charger, Bile Spewer, Hulk, and Berserker. These are all mobile options that can quickly kill Helldivers at close range, or medium range in the Bile Spewer's case. The Stun Grenade can be used to lock down these mobile targets at range and safely dispatch them, or used in a pinch to save the player if the enemies close the gap. The use depends on the playstyle of each individual Helldiver and what weapon is currently in use.
Though only in the game for a short amount of time, the G-23 Stun Grenade has propelled itself as the top grenade choice along with the Impact. However, every grenade can be useful and strong in the right scenario. This kind of flexibility that carries over to largely every weapon or Stratagem is a massive part of Helldivers 2's success. So, if struggling to kill Bile Titans with one's current choice of grenade, using the new G-23 Stun Grenade will easily help kill this ferocious Helldivers 2 enemy.
