Instead of returning to his role of Superman in the DCEU, Cavill's portrayal of Superman—the last time he suited up as the Man of Steel outside of the Snyder Cut was for 2017's Justice League—and maybe he's better for it. Cavill has long been linked to playing the iconic British spy, and this is the perfect time for him to put on the tuxedo and leave the cape behind.
Cavill had a solid run playing Superman starting with his debut as the character in 2013's Justice League film. Many have praised his portrayal of the Man of Steel and have been awaiting Cavill's return to the role after a short hiatus. However, the DCEU seems to be moving on from Cavill's Superman and the SnyderVerse as a whole, in favor of more contained comic book movies, none of which seem to be a Man of Steel sequel.

Instead of waiting to return to the role of Superman in the DCEU, Cavill should take this opportunity to become the next Bond while the opportunity is still on the table. The character of James Bond is one of the most iconic heroes in cinema, and Cavill is perfectly suited for the part. And with 2021's No Time to Die recently wrapping up Daniel Craig's run as James Bond, it's time for a new actor to take the reins of the franchise. That actor should be Cavill, seeing as he not only looks and sounds the part, but has a built-in fanbase who could draw some major attention to the next line of James Bond films if he were to take the role.
Henry Cavill has proven in his time as Superman that he can pull off the suave confidence and assurance of the James Bond character, as well as being completely capable of carrying an action film and delivering some incredible action sequence. Another great example of this is U.N.C.L.E., proving he's no stranger to this spy genre.
The Bond franchise will greatly benefit from Henry Cavill stepping into the titular role. He has the perfect physique, and has on many occasions shown that he can carry a role such as this exquisitely. Cavill's portrayal of Superman will forever remain iconic in its own right, and he has certainly left his mark on the DCEU and the Man of Steel himself, but it's time for Cavill to move on—especially with Warner Bros. seemingly unable, or unwilling to commit to the character's future. Daniel Craig has ittedly left tough shoes for the next actor portraying James Bond to fill, but there is one man who could do it, and his name is Cavill. Henry Cavill.
