Lenovo is planning to launch a new include gaming smartphones and tablets.

The ThinkPhone doesn't have a launch date yet, but there are already a handful of key details that paint a clear picture of what to expect. These details which were posted on Twitter by SnoopyTech (@_snoopytech_) include official renders of the smartphone and key specifications.

It May Be Announced At CES 2023

The ThinkPhone will launch with a flat display that has a centered punch hole for the front-facing camera. The press renders show that alongside the power and volume buttons, there is also a red textured button on the left side of the phone. Its function is currently unknown, but there is a possibility it may be customizable. One of the press renders shows the back of the ThinkPhone, and it has a carbon-fiber-like design like the ThinkPad X1 laptop. Despite the appearance, the back seems to be made of glass.

The phone has a squircle camera bump that houses three sensors and an LED flash. An inscription below one of the sensors reveals that the primary camera is a 50MP sensor with optical image stabilization. In addition, the lower back part of the phone has a logo that says “ThinkPhone by Motorola.” The render also shows water droplets on the phone which hints at the phone having a degree of water resistance. Another of the renders shows that s will be able to easily connect the ThinkPhone to the ThinkPad X1 laptop to run mobile apps from the phone on the laptop screen and also transfer files between the two devices.

It has been reported that the ThinkPhone has a 6.6-inch screen that refreshes at 144Hz. According to the source, the phone will ship with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, but there are no confirmed details about the RAM and storage variants. The phone is stated to have a 5000mAh battery capacity and will 68W fast wired charging and also have for wireless charging as seen in one of the press renders. It will run Android 13 out of the box with Motorola's custom interface on top. The ThinkPhone will likely be unveiled at CES 2023, but availability may be much later.
