A series of new leaked buffs to The Herta in The Herta’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 has already leaked, showing how she operates on the field.

As an Ice Erudition character, like her 4-star version, The Herta is a specialist in dealing damage to multiple targets. While her doll form tends to deal secondary damage via follow-up attacks, The Herta’s leaked kit shows she takes a more active role in team comps as the main DPS. Based on the leaks so far, The Herta can apply an effect on targets, and for each stack, she increases the damage she can increase the damage she deals to opponents. During the tests, The Herta in Honkai: Star Rail has undergone changes, and most of them seem positive.

The buffs and other changes to The Herta’s kit were obtained by the leaker known as HomDGCat and then shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit. Among some of the notable updates is a change to the wording on her Skill, which previously mentioned her Ice DMG effect could be repeated twice; now, the wording states that it will repeat twice rather than leaving it as a possibility. Furthermore, the ATK buff obtained by The Herta when using her Ultimate increases from 64% to 80% for three turns in Honkai: Star Rail instead of two before the buff.

Her Talent’s DMG multiplier against other targets afflicted by Interpretation sustained a minor nerf, from 5% to 4%. However, one of the most notable leaked buffs for The Herta lies in her Technique. Now, instead of applying four stacks of Interpretation to all enemies at the start of each wave, The Herta applies 25 stacks of Interpretation to a single random target, prioritizing Elite or rarer targets. Her first Trace also saw the addition of a new effect that increases her Ice DMG while using an Enhanced Skill against a target with 42 stacks of Interpretation in Honkai: Star Rail.

The leak also details a few buffs applied to The Herta’s E1 and E4, which keeps her reset Interpretation value at 10 and increases the team’s SPD, respectively.

The Multi-Target DPS Seems To Have Great Single Target DMG Value, Too

While the leaked buffs are making The Herta much stronger as a character overall, it does seem like she is being tailored to expand her repertoire as an Erudition character in the sense that she also has value as a single-target damage dealer. The rumored update to The Herta’s Technique is a massive one. Not only has the number of Interpretation stacks increased from, essentially, 16 to 25, but they are all instantly applied to the strongest opponent each wave. For reference, Interpretation stacks increase the Ultimate DMG multiplier The Herta has in Honkai: Star Rail by 1%, up to 99%.

Honkai Star Rail 3.0 Leaks: How Much Stellar Jade Is Available In The First Amphoreus Update

Based on the leaks for Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 so far, this is what you can expect in of free Stellar Jade during the next big update to the RPG.

Using her Technique before entering battle should give The Herta an immense advantage once she is able to use her Ultimate because the number of Interpretation stacks on the strongest enemy will be higher, thus increasing the damage she is capable of dealing. An important aspect of The Herta’s leaked Ultimate is that, upon using it, she rearranges the stacks of Interpretation, transferring them to Elite targets or above. As such, her kit allegedly pushes her towards focusing on a single enemy in Honkai: Star Rail, while her multi-target DMG is but a consequence of her alignment to Erudition.

In her current state, based on the leaked updates to her kit, The Herta should thrive as a multi-target striker but will be capable of being effective in situations with fewer enemies. Facing bosses that don’t create too many summons should be a possibility for The Herta because she will continue to apply a high number of Interpretation stacks to them, therefore increasing her Ultimate DMG multiplier against them. This versatility is somewhat unprecedented for Erudition characters, no matter how strong they are. Even a strong unit like Argenti in Honkai: Star Rail often flails against a single stronger enemy.

Newer boss encounters have been showcasing more enemies than ever, so a multi-target striker like The Herta could be perfect for these fights. Not only could she deal with the summons created by them, but she could double down on the damage she deals to the main boss target. With her allies focusing on a single target, preferably the boss itself rather than its summons, more stacks of Interpretation can be applied to them, making her a great unit to deal with bosses, especially when compared to other characters on the Path of the Erudition in Honkai: Star Rail.

Erudition Characters In Honkai: Star Rail Have Been Needing A Revamp In Gameplay Value

Currently, These Characters Thrive In One Type of Activity

As of lately, Erudition characters have mostly fallen in disuse outside of activities like Pure Fiction, where the majority of the enemies are simpler targets to beat. In these activities, Erudition units tend to thrive as they are quick to dispatch enemy waves with just a few hits. When put up against stronger elite enemies, however, their power seems diminished, and that has been a recurring issue with Erudition for quite some time. As was mentioned, Argenti is arguably the best on his Path, but he can struggle to be effective in several instances in Honkai: Star Rail.

New leaked images for Mydei’s Ultimate in Honkai: Star Rail have emerged, hinting at what may be a stylish and devastating ability in combat.

It’s uncertain if the leaks about The Herta’s kit and buffs are true, so the information should be taken with caution. Furthermore, despite how good the stats look in theory, it remains to be seen how the character’s abilities will be translated into actual gameplay value, especially in the face of a new roster of enemies arriving with the Amphoreus maps in Version 3.0. Nevertheless, the release of The Herta in Honkai: Star Rail sounds extremely promising as she may pave the way for future Erudition characters and bring back value to the Path.
