There have been significant buffs to both Castorice and Anaxa ahead of their release in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2, according to a new series of leaks, and these changes may make them even more enticing to pull for in their banners than they already were. Castorice and Anaxa are the new playable characters being introduced with the patch, as teased by developer HoYoverse via drip marketing posts made on social media. Castorice is confirmed to be a 5-star Quantum character on the Path of the Remembrance, while Anaxa is a 5-star Wind character following the Path of the Erudition.
HoYoverse has not revealed more gameplay-related details about these characters, but the Version 3.2 beta tests have provided several leaks about their kits and behavior. For example, there have been several mentions of a broken Castorice ability in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 that could allow her to revive allies even when she is not in the same team comp. The leaks say Castorice will drain the HP of her allies to deal damage to opponents, much of which will stem from her rumored memosprite. Anaxa, on the other hand, is expected to inflict new Weaknesses on enemies through various means.

Castorice & Anaxa Received New Changes During The Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Beta Tests
Leaks Describe Alterations To Both Characters’ Kits
While the core of their gameplay kits is mostly established, according to the leaks, these characters are still being tested and modified accordingly during the beta tests. Now, there have been reports about changes to Castorice’s and Anaxa’s respective kits and the majority of them are buffs. According to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGCat, which was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Castorice’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 during the V4 (version 4) update that occurred during the beta tests. These changes even target her signature Light Cone.

Honkai Star Rail 3.1's Newest Character Proves Berserk Truly Inspires Everything
Developer HoYoverse presented a new trailer for Mydei in Honkai: Star Rail and the character may have some similarities with Guts from Berserk.
The changes to Castorice target several of her abilities and alter the wording on some of the skills, as well as the stats involved in calculating damage, for example. Castorice's Leaked Buffs For Honkai: Star Rail 3.2, Explained
The Remembrance Character Had Several Changes To Her Kit
The first reported change to Castorice’s kit revolves around her aforementioned broken ability, Sanctuary of Mooncocoon. This is a universal revive ability, but its changes were simple: only a few words were managed to state how it works more clearly. The big changes start with her memosprite’s Skill, Claw Splits the Veil. While the ability originally dealt Quantum DMG equal to 24% of Castorice’s Max HP to all enemies, it now deals 40% of her Max HP stat. Castorice’s memosprite in Honkai: Star Rail is expected to carry the brunt of her damage output, so this is a remarkable buff.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Banner Leaks Have Been Updated With A Disappointing Character Swap
New leaks about Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 indicate that there have been a few notable changes to the reruns scheduled in the banner lineup.
Additionally, her memosprite is also now called Netherwing; it was originally referred to as Dead Dragon. Another leaked change to Castorice’s kit was reported to be applied to her enhanced Skill. Originally called Skeleclaw, the new enhanced Skill is allegedly called Boneclaw, Doomdrake’s Embrace. Aside from the name change, this ability now deals Quantum DMG to all enemies rather than a single target. A minor change to Castorice’s kit was allegedly applied to her first ive Trace, Contained Dark Tide. Originally, the Newbud effect ed the amount of healing and converted it into Netherwing’s Max HP in Honkai: Star Rail.
Before the V4 changes, the converted value could not exceed 12% of Newbud’s maximum limit or Netherwing’s Max HP. Now the converted value for each ally target cannot exceed 12% of Newbud’s limit, disregarding Netherwing’s Max HP from the calculation. The other big change to Castorice’s kit revolves around her third ive Trace, Where The West Wind Dwells. According to the leak, when the enemy’s HP is 600% or lower, the DMG Boost effect reaches its maximum, up to 30%. Here, the enemy HP requirements increased, but the limit was cut by 10% in Honkai: Star Rail.
This ive Trace increases the DMG dealt to enemies by Netherwing the lower the enemy’s current HP score.
A minor change was applied to Castorice’s E6 (Eidolon level 6). Before, the Quantum RES PEN was increased when Castorice and Netherwing dealt DMG, and the wording has been changed to allow the effect to take place when either Castorice or Netherwing deal damage. The final reported changes are related to Castorice’s signature Light Cone, Make Farewells More Beautiful. At S1, the Light Cone allowed the and their memosprite in Honkai: Star Rail to ignore 24% of the target’s DEF when dealing DMG after losing HP on their turn, and now the effect ignores 30% of the target’s DEF.
Anaxa's Leaked Buffs For Honkai: Star Rail 3.2, Explained
The Erudition Character Will Seemingly Deal More Damage
As was mentioned, most of the changes to Anaxa’s kits are buffs that allow them to deal more damage. The first ed change is to their Skill, which sees it now deal Wind DMG equal to 80% of Anaxa’s ATK to an enemy, up from 60%. Additionally, the Skill deals four instances of DMG, which have also increased from 60% to 80% of Anaxa’s ATK. Furthermore, the DMG dealt by the Skill increases for each enemy on the field, up from 15% to 20%, according to the recent leaks about Anaxa’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2's New NPC Is The Best Designed Character In A While But They're Not (Entirely) Playable
New leaks from Honkai: Star Rail 3.2’s beta tests have revealed the design of an important story character and they may be extremely well-designed.
The rumors show that Anaxa’s Ultimate may have undergone some changes, with the ability dealing Wind DMG equal to 200% of Anaxa’s ATK to all enemies, up from 150%. There is also an adjustment in the wording to make it clear that Anaxa’s leaked Weakness infliction through their Ultimate lasts until the start of each target’s turn. The second ive Trace, which grants effects based on the number of Erudition characters in the party, also suffered changes ahead of Honkai: Star Rail 3.2, seeing the second effect increase DMG dealt by allies by 40%, up from 30%.
Anaxa’s Exposed Nature effect was now renamed to Qualitative Disclosure.
Anaxa’s third leaked ive Trace, which originally allowed Anaxa to ignore 3% of the target’s DEF for every Weakness Type they have, has now been buffed, allowing them to ignore 4% of the enemy’s DEF for every Weakness Type. Lastly, the leak also shows a slight change in the wording of Anaxa’s E6, but nothing that actually changes gameplay. With the leaked buffs to both Castorice and Anaxa, these two characters, who had already showcased incredible gameplay kits, may become even more enticing to players once Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 arrives.
