Leaks about a new character skin in Fate collab characters in Honkai: Star Rail 3.4.
Aside from the anime character who could possibly make their way into the game in Version 3.4, the leaks also indicate that one of the main Chrysos Heirs, Phainon, will also have his playable version released in the patch. The details about these units are still scarce, aside from rumors about their Paths and elements, through it shouldn’t take too long before more concrete leaks start occurring. In addition to the new playable characters, there are also leaks about the confirmed character buffs; one of which hints at the possibility of farming for Kafka in Honkai: Star Rail 3.4.
Firefly Skin Has Leaked For Honkai: Star Rail 3.4
The Most Recent Stellaron Hunter May Also Get A Rerun Banner
In addition to combat-focused content, such as characters’ kits and buffs, the leaks have also showcased some other aspects of the patch. According to information provided by the leaker known as Luna, who accurately leaked Hyacine and Cipher as playable characters in Version 3.3 and their respective kits, Firefly will get a new character skin in Version 3.4, as well as a dedicated rerun banner in the patch. The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Firefly in Honkai: Star Rail.

After Seeing The Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 Leaks, I'm Convinced Pulling For Characters Will Never Be The Same
A new Star Rail Special system may be introduced with Honkai: Star Rail 3.3, and players may never need to purchase Oneiric Shards again.
This includes the absence of details about what the rumored Firefly skin will look like, if it will be a item or a F2P (free-to-play) gift for players, and in which banner phase Firefly’s presumed rerun will occur. The rumors about a Firefly skin are somewhat unexpected: the 5-star Fire Destruction character is far from the ongoing story and currently has no value to the campaign after her participation in Penacony. Cosmetics don’t have to be directly linked to their participation in the campaign, but the mentions of a Firefly skin in Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 are certainly unexpected.
Unexpected Firefly Skin Leak May Be A Hoax Given Previous Honkai: Star Rail Leaks
Kafka’s Rumored Skin Has Yet To Be Released
As exciting as the prospect of one of the game’s best DPS characters getting a skin seems, the leak should be taken with an extra degree of caution this time around – even if the leaker has proven to be reliable in the past. At the moment, the idea of a Firefly skin can even sound like a hoax. As was previously mentioned, Firefly is not currently in the spotlight of the game’s campaign. While that is not exactly a reason for her not to get a cosmetic item, the lack of more context for a Firefly skin is noteworthy.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Hint At New Character Who Could Revitalize DoT Mechanics
DoT mechanics may come back into the spotlight, revitalized, with the release of a new leaked character in an Honkai: Star Rail patch.
What is most concerning, however, is the compilation of leaks that haven’t actually occurred. In the past, there have been rumors about a March 7th skin and a Kafka skin in Honkai: Star Rail. While the March 7th skin did become a reality, Kafka’s long-rumored skin has yet to be seen. Over the past year, there have been multiple mentions about a Kafka skin, but HoYoverse seems nowhere near releasing it. The idea of a brand-new Firefly character skin taking precedence over a long-rumored Kafka skin seems unreasonable, which takes away a bit of the credibility from the leak itself.
Furthermore, if there were a skin set to be released in Version 3.4, it would be easy to justify Kafka as a candidate for an alternative outfit. In Version 3.4, HoYoverse has confirmed that several old characters will receive gameplay buffs to make them relevant once more to the game. These characters are Kafka, Blade, Jingliu, and Silver Wolf in Honkai: Star Rail. It’s arguable that all four units are deserving of outfits, but Kafka has already had leaks around her potential skin, so she is the most likely candidate among them, and certainly a lot more reasonable than Firefly.
Recently, there have also been leaks about a possible Seele skin in Honkai: Star Rail, which would allegedly come accompanied by her gameplay buffs, but neither aspect has been confirmed by the developer so far.
As much as I’d like to believe that my strongest Fire DPS is getting a new outfit for me to walk around in, I’m particularly wary of this leak because of past leaks. Not only has Kafka’s rumored skin never made an appearance, but there has also been a chain of faulty leaks, which include details about Screwllum’s release, Mr. Reca’s release, and much more that have never come to fruition. With Version 3.4 so close to arriving, I find it unlikely that an obtainable Firefly skin in Honkai: Star Rail will happen too soon.
How A Firefly Skin Could Be Justified In Honkai: Star Rail 3.4
The Update Could Celebrate Stellaron Hunters In Different Ways
As unlikely as it seems, and as cautious as I am about this rumor, there is still a chance that the leak is accurate and Firefly could get a new skin accompanying her rumored rerun in Version 3.4. One minor detail could actually justify the cosmetic item’s inclusion during the patch: Stellaron Hunters. As was previously mentioned, Kafka, Blade, Silver Wolf, and Jingliu are getting buffs in Version 3.4. With the exception of Jingliu, all of these are the core of the Stellaron Hunters in Honkai: Star Rail, which leaves only Firefly out of the buff zone.
A new leak by Sakura Haven, which was posted on Reddit, mentions that players will return to Penacony in Version 3.4, which could further help justify Firefly’s skin.
However, as one of the current top-tier Break DPS characters and a fairly recent one, Firefly is not in need of any buffs. Perhaps the rumored Firefly character skin is a means of celebrating all the Stellaron Hunters during the same patch without having to touch her gameplay kit. That way, all the currently available Stellaron Hunters get their due attention, though Firefly’s would come in the form of the rumored cosmetic outfit. That may even justify why Firefly’s rumored skin took precedence over Kafka’s leaked outfit in Honkai: Star Rail.
