I’ve already seen the early sketches of Kafka’s buffs in Silver Wolf’s buffs in Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 have already leaked.
The rumored buffs to Silver Wolf’s kit will allegedly make her more useful when implanting new Weaknesses on enemies – instead of doing so one Weakness at a time on a single enemy, Silver Wolf may now be capable of inflicting multiple Weaknesses at once against multiple enemies. This should make her more competitive and significantly reduce the amount of powercreep she suffers from the existence of Anaxa in Honkai: Star Rail, who can apply new Weaknesses on all enemies at once. Until now, only Silver Wolf’s buffs from all four characters had leaked, but it seems that has changed.

Kafka's Buffs In Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 Have Leaked
The Character’s Follow-Up Attacks May Be More Effective
Now, details about the buffs for one of the four characters may have emerged. According to information provided by the leaker known as Luna, who also provided details about Silver Wolf’s aforementioned leaked buffs, information about Kafka’s buffs is available. As seen in the leak, Kafka’s buff will allow her follow-up attacks can detonate DoT (damage over time) effects, and, in addition to that, any teammate’s attacks will now trigger follow-up attacks. The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit. Currently, Kafka’s follow-up attacks in Honkai: Star Rail are only triggered after an ally’s Basic Attack.

After Seeing The Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 Leaks, I'm Convinced Pulling For Characters Will Never Be The Same
A new Star Rail Special system may be introduced with Honkai: Star Rail 3.3, and players may never need to purchase Oneiric Shards again.
The leaker also informs that, aside from this change in follow-up attack behavior, Kafka’s buffs should also improve her damage via stat adjustments. According to Luna, the whole kit will see balancing changes to Kafka’s kit and its respective numerical values. This means that Kafka should also get stronger, aside from having a better way of contributing to the team. The leaker does not provide any specific detail about what these statistical buffs will look like, but the mere mention of a change to Kafka’s follow-up attacks, which will detonate DoT effects in Honkai: Star Rail, already seems incredible.
Kafka's Leaked Buffs In Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 Sound Extremely Pleasant
The Character May Deal More DMG
In a comment in the post about the leak, the ProcedureWilling3640 mentions that they had previously made a post about a leak that was posted on the Chinese online forum called Tieba, which apparently outlined all the statistical changes to Kafka’s kit. In the Reddit comment, they mention that they believed the initial leak to be false, but following Luna’s leaks, it may prove to be true. According to their report, Kafka’s Ultimate will now deal 380% Lightning DoT to Shocked enemies, up from 290%. Additionally, the DoT Trigger DMG increases from 100% to 150% in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 Leaks Show Most Of Cipher's Materials Can Be Pre-Farmed, But You're Going To Struggle With One Specific Item
You can already start pre-farming Cipher’s materials ahead of her release in Honkai: Star Rail 3.3, but one leaked item will be problematic.
The previous leak states that Kafka’s buffed Skill will now deal DoT Trigger DMG at 100% on the main target, up from 75%. Furthermore, the Skill will also deal Trigger DMG in a Blast effect, at 75% to adjacent targets. The leak mentions that Kafka’s follow-up attacks will now consist of a maximum of three charges. These charges will allegedly recover once per turn and one charge every time an ally applies a DoT effect (up to three times, resetting with her Ultimate’s usage). Sustaining Luna’s leak, this rumor says that Kafka’s follow-up attacks trigger DoT DMG at 90%.
Lastly, the leak mentions that All-Type RES PEN will be applied with DoT DMG from Kafka in Honkai: Star Rail.
If any portion of this t leak is true, then Kafka may become useful again. Currently, the main issue with her compared to other characters is that DoT DMG is undervalued, and Kafka’s kit doesn’t allow her to trigger it as often as needed to keep up with DMG sources. If the rumors are true, Kafka will deal a lot more damage via DoTs, and, moreover, consistently deal DoT Trigger DMG through nearly all of her abilities. This will inevitably make Kafka tougher and able to contribute to the team, possibly even revitalizing Black Swan’s team in Honkai: Star Rail.
As a Kafka owner who uses her as a Nihility for Acheron due to the absence of Jiaoqiu, I am thrilled with the possibility of having Kafka deal more damage to enemies, apart from fueling Acheron’s Ultimate. With more consistent follow-up attacks and increased damage output via DoTs, Kafka could even take away some opportunities from Acheron, seeing that enemies will be defeated by Kafka before the Self-Annihilator’s Ultimate is ready. Even if she pales in comparison to Acheron in Honkai: Star Rail regarding raw firepower, her rumored triple follow-up attacks will help Acheron’s Ultimate charge up much faster.
Buffed Kafka Could Set Up Hysilens' Release In Honkai: Star Rail
Hysilens Is Also Rumored To Be A DoT DPS
While the buffs alone seem extremely beneficial to Kafka, she may gain added value as her buff may help set the terrain for the release of Hysilens. Also rumored to be a DoT-centered character, they are expected to be a Nihility DPS who works with a special type of Bleed DoT DMG, according to Hysilens’ leaks in Honkai: Star Rail. The initial reports about them mentioned that Hysilens would usher in a new era for DoT mechanics, and alongside Kafka’s buffs, that may very well be true, especially if their kits end up complementing each other in battle.

Honkai Star Rail's Fate Collab Leaks: All Playable Characters' Paths, Elements, & Rarity (So Far)
Honkai: Star Rail’s Fate collab has had new information leaked, hinting at the playable characters’ Paths, elements, and rarity.
DoTs have been left on the sidelines for about a year. Black Swan’s release did wonders for Kafka’s team comps, but their t operation quickly fell apart with the releases of the Nihility DPS Acheron and the Super Break DPS Firefly. Since then, several other releases have taken over the meta – most recently, team comps with Castorice or Mydei, characters who revolve around HP loss, are in the spotlight. Hopefully, the leaks about Kafka’s buffs in Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 are at least partially true, as much as they should still be considered with a lot of caution.
