A new set of leaks about Amphoreus in Aglaea in Honkai: Star Rail. During the patch’s new main story missions, players got involved with The Eternal Land and its struggles.

This article may contain massive spoilers about the larger Amphoreus story arc.

This is because Amphoreus is prophesied for doom, and the local heroes, known as Chrysos Heirs, need to reclaim the Coreflames from the various Titans that still have a hold on the planet’s destiny. During the first few quests, players are introduced to a large roster of new faces, including Phainon, Tribbie, Mydei, Castorice, and Aglaea, all of which help conduct the story forward. However, there are still more Amphoreus characters in Honkai: Star Rail that players have to meet, as exemplified by HoYoverse’s teaser. Now, some leaks about the larger Amphoreus plot are starting to emerge, including big spoilers.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Show True Identity Of Two Amphoreus Characters

Phainon & Cyrene Are Rumored To Be Emanators

It is unknown exactly when this information will be made available officially through the events of the game, but according to details provided by the leaker known as Uncle Hellgirl, both Phainon and Cyrene are Emanators. The leak was shared in a post flagged as “Questionable” on Acheron in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Leaks Show The First New 4-Star Character In Months

After months of absences, a new 4-star character has been leaked for Honkai: Star Rail and it’s a familiar face who has long been awaited.

Jing Yuan is an Emanator of the Hunt, even if his gameplay kit follows the Erudition, whereas Phantylia is a Lord-Ravager, which is the special title for some of the Destruction’s Emanators. The same leak post on Reddit also mentions that Phainon is an Emanator of the Destruction, though it’s unsure to which Aeon Cyrene will be aligned. Nevertheless, if the leak is true, this is a massive revelation for the larger story of Amphoreus in Honkai: Star Rail, especially because its inhabitants are seemingly unaware of the existence of Aeons and are surprised by the Nameless characters’ godlike figures.

Phainon May Be A Villain In Honkai: Star Rail

The Chrysos Heir May Instead Be An Emanator Of Destruction

Honkai Star Rail's Phainon gently smiles.

If these two characters are truly Emanators, as indicated by the leak, then there may be a massive plot twist regarding the destiny of Amphoreus. The lack of mentions of Cyrene’s Path, specifically, leaves room for a lot of interpretation, as she could be either an ally or a foe, but Phainon’s rumored status as an Emanator of the Destruction is a lot more incriminating. While characters who follow the Destruction are not all bad, as exemplified by the Trailblazer themselves and Imbibitor Lunae in Honkai: Star Rail, being an Emanator of this Path may be a bad sign.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: Castorice's Kit May Actually Be Fun To Play With

The first few leaks about Castorice’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 have leaked, and she may have an exciting set of abilities centered around HP loss.

This is because Emanators of Destruction are specifically picked by Nanook themselves, and their goals involve following the Path’s principles, which are wreaking havoc across the cosmos. If Phainon is truly a Lord Ravager, then he may be aware of the existence of other worlds beyond Amphoreus, which most local denizens do not know of, and his goals may be to help bring doom and devastation to The Eternal Land, even if his actions, so far, indicate otherwise. Lord Ravagers, like Phantylia in Honkai: Star Rail, have proven to be deceptive, and Phainon may be feigning interest in Amphoreus’ salvation.

As such, based on the leak, there is a chance that Phainon is posing as an ally, only to reveal himself as a villain once the time is right. There have already been some minor indications that Phainon is a servant of Nanook. In one of the many teaser trailers for Amphoreus, posted on the official Honkai: Star Rail channel on YouTube, Phainon can be seen throwing a liquid that seems like golden blood onto his body. This specific aesthetic choice seems to hint at Nanook Themself, who has a similar golden-hued aspect to their design in Honkai: Star Rail.

Phainon is also known for having several golden scar-like marks across his body.

Another fact that helps fuel the speculation is that Phainon shares an uncanny resemblance with the male Trailblazer, as if they had both been created by the same entity – and, to worsen the matter, both of them have disturbing similarities with Nanook. The Trailblazer started their journey carrying a Stellaron within them and being touched by Nanook, which may explain how they look after being conceived. Phainon may have a similar backstory. For now, the belief is that Phainon was born a Chrysos Heir in Amphoreus, but he has one difference from these other characters in Honkai: Star Rail.

All the Chrysos Heirs are said to have some sort of flaw or curse, and most of them have shown this. Mydei is cursed with immortality, whereas Castorice can bring death to any living being she touches. The rumors are that Phainon isn’t burdened by any such flaw. From a positive outlook, this could lead to the understanding that he is the one meant to ascend as king of Amphoreus after the retrieval of all the Coreflames from the Titans. However, this may be an indication that Phainon is not truly a Chrysos Heir in Honkai: Star Rail.

Amphoreus’ Crisis In Honkai: Star Rail May Not Be As Mysterious As It Seems

The Titans’ Rebellion May Have Been Crafted

Honkai Star Rail's Titan stands in Amphoreus.

If Phainon is truly an Emanator of Destruction, as hinted by the leaks, a lot about the story of Amphoreus could be explained. At some point long before the Nameless’ arrival on the planet, humanity and the Titans that created the world started clashing, which ultimately led to the ruins of civilization and forcing humanity into Okhema, the last true safe haven in The Eternal Land. As shown by the narrator of another teaser trailer posted on the official Honkai: Star Rail channel on YouTube, it’s uncertain what caused the Titans’ rebellion.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: Anaxa's Weird Path Choice May Actually Make Sense (For HoYoverse)

Anaxa may be following an unexpected Path in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2, but there may be a reasonable explanation as to why HoYoverse would do this.

The Titans are the makers of humanity on Amphoreus and their protectors, but most of them seem to have been struck with some sort of madness that made them turn their backs on their creations. This unexpected behavior may have actually been artificially forced onto the Titans with the power and influence of an Aeon such as Nanook, who seeks to destroy Amphoreus for the sake of entropy. Amphoreus is touched by three different Paths, and Nanook may have a hand in delivering strife onto it. Phainon may be his tool in Honkai: Star Rail.

Cyrene May Be A Threat To Phainon In Honkai: Star Rail

Rumors Indicate That Cyrene Is Actually March 7th

Honkai Star Rail's Cyrene looks back.

Although Cyrene’s Path alignment hasn’t been described by the leaks, it’s possible to speculate on her role in the story. Cyrene is treated as a special character capable of communicating with the Trailblazer and in the first Amphoreus teaser trailer, she is shown talking directly to them, while the other Amphoreus characters are only described. This particular treatment indicates she may have a pivotal role in the story compared to other Chrysos Heirs. Additionally, Cyrene has a connection to Phainon, as seen in a flashback in which she prophesied him as the hero of Amphoreus in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: Castorice's Splash Art Sketch May Seem Ludicrous, But It Holds One Important Secret About Her Gameplay Kit

Castorice’s splash art in Honkai: Star Rail has been the topic of a ludicrous illustration, but the rudimentary artwork may be hiding a secret.

After the flashback conversation with Phainon, Cyrene is shown stabbed through the chest, bleeding golden blood. With the conclusion of the flashback, the game returns to the present time, showing Himeko encountering March 7th encased in ice on the Astral Express. The curious point here is that there are some rumors that March 7th may be Cyrene. If this rumor is true, the alleged death of Cyrene may have been what led to her being cast into space, losing her memories, and taking on the moniker of March 7th in Honkai: Star Rail.

If the leaks about the Emanators are true, Cyrene may be precisely the one who can fend off Phainon, and why she was removed from the equation in Amphoreus, to allow Nanook’s plans to proceed. Phainon bathing in golden blood may be a reference to his betrayal against Cyrene, too. Another curious aspect about Cyrene, as shown in Honkai: Star Rail Fandom, is that her name stems from the Greek name Kyrene, which means “lord,” “ruler,” and “sovereign queen. This may be an indication that Cyrene is the one meant to be Amphoreus’ Deliverer and hero, not Phainon.

HoYoverse has confirmed that March 7th has some sort of connection to the Remembrance – and given how she feels upon reaching the space around Amphoreus, it’s likely that she has a larger connection to the destination.

For now, these leaks and theories should be considered with extreme caution, as they may prove to be completely incorrect as the story progresses. Nevertheless, a lot of the reports and in-game lore seem to add up, so it’s impossible to ignore completely. The story of Amphoreus will unfold throughout eight different patches, as confirmed by HoYoverse, so the true nature of all of these characters may still take quite some time to come to a conclusion. Even if the theories are inaccurate, the Amphoreus story arc in Honkai: Star Rail is building up to be thrilling.
