New leaks about Castorice in Castorice’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 have already been shared.
The leaks show that Castorice will be capable of draining the HP of her allies and, in turn, dealing more damage based on how much HP has been lost. Furthermore, as a Remembrance character, Castorice will have a memosprite that she can summon onto the field. According to the leaks, this memosprite is a dragon that helps her launch t attacks against enemies with incredible power. From the looks of it, Castorice will be a DPS in team comps and she should exceed in team comps where its characters have high HP scores, such as Tribbie in Honkai: Star Rail.
Castorice May Have An Off-Field Auto-Revive Ability In Honkai: Star Rail
Leaked Footage Sees Her Revive A Character Without Being In The Team
While a large portion of Castorice’s kit has been uncovered by leakers, including her rumored auto-revive ability, there may be more to her skills than originally predicted. According to leaked footage provided by the leaker known as Sakura Haven, Castorice may have an off-field auto-revive ability. As can be seen in the video, which was shared in a post tagged as “Showcases” on Anaxa in Honkai: Star Rail with an ability called Sanctuary of Lunar Cocoon.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: Castorice's Materials Can Be Pre-Farmed
The list of materials consumed by Castorice in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 has leaked, showing you may pre-farm most of them before the patch’s release.
Anaxa is brought back to life and ready to battle. The video doesn’t show how much HP is restored. However, off-field effects from characters haven’t been used up until now and Castorice may be the first to wield it. Combining previous rumors that the revive mechanic would be able to occur once per battle, it’s likely this effect will be limited. Even so, information provided by the leaker known as Dim, shared in a “Reliable” post on Pure Fiction in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2.
Castorice’s Leaked Off-Field Revive In Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Is Absolutely Broken
No Other Character Has A Global Effect Such As This Rumored One
If both of these leaks prove to be true and the ability is added to Castorice’s final version, it will likely be the most broken ability ever to be created. The ability itself is fantastic: having access to a free revive for the party without having to actively use the character that triggers the skill in the team comp is like having another party member aid from a safe distance. However, an off-field effect from a character without them even being in the team comp is somewhat ludicrous and can break team comp strategies in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Show Disheartening Update On Mr. Reca's Rumored Release
Mr. Reca’s rumored release in Honkai: Star Rail seems to have undergone a disappointing update that could heavily affect the current meta.
You may not have to even concern yourself with building Castorice as a character, as long as you unlock the rumored off-field revival mechanic in her kit. After that, you get access to an important skill from a fifth playable character within a four-character team comp. It seems like HoYoverse is making a push for players to pull for Castorice even if they don’t intend on actively using her or her rumored HP-drain mechanics.
Castorice’s revival mechanics in Honkai: Star Rail had already been leaked, but it had led to the belief it would occur with her on the field.
This type of global effect is extremely powerful, regardless of how much HP she restores to the fallen ally – be it 1 HP or full HP. This could completely turn the tides of a battle that was running in the opponent’s favor and even take away from actual gameplay strategy since it would be okay to have an ally be defeated seeing that there’s at least one guaranteed revival, even if Castorice is off the field. This ive ability would require no building and, in turn, offer the most broken gameplay effect in Honkai: Star Rail so far.
Castorice’s Leaked Off-Field Revive Ability Is Bad News For Honkai: Star Rail
This Effect Could Open Precedence For Other Global Buffs
The big problem with this off-field revival mechanic that has been leaked for Castorice is not how broken it is, per si, but what it could represent for the game’s future. Until now, there haven’t been characters that provide global buffs or effects without them being on the field. This maintained a fairly balanced gameplay experience, as players have had to carefully think about how they run their team comps and picking the best sustain characters in Honkai: Star Rail to keep their party alive while still concentrating on dealing damage and applying buffs to allies and debuffs to enemies.

Honkai: Star Rail's Amphoreus Leaks Say Character's True Form May Not Be Playable, But An Boss
New Honkai: Star Rail leaks have allegedly showcased the true form of an Amphoreus character, which may become a boss to face in the campaign.
The addition of off-field effects like the one rumored for Castorice could open up precedence for future characters to offer buffs and other types of effects without having to be in the team comp. This would heavily break the title’s balanced gameplay structure and, worse than that, be a shallow way of incentivizing players to pull for new character releases based solely on the fear of not having access to an off-field buff while the character themself is left on the sidelines of the team comp. If the leaks are true, this is a terrible decision for Honkai: Star Rail.
Overall, this seems like a greedy way of pushing for increased revenue that doesn’t really offer a complete character experience. It doesn’t mean that characters with off-field buffs wouldn’t have their value in parties, but given how much the turn-based RPG is already reliant on meta compositions and featured mechanics, this would add another layer to the problem that involves having too many 5-star characters to pull for with limited Stellar Jade and a limited number of 4-star characters options in Honkai: Star Rail that allows players who don’t spend to keep up with what’s required.

I Have A Theory For Why Honkai: Star Rail Fate Collab Character Leaks Seem So Weird
New leaks about the Honkai: Star Rail collab with Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works have emerged and, initially, they may seem strange.
As reliable as the leaks may seem, they should still be considered with caution. The information provided may be incorrect, incomplete, or, most importantly, subject to change. There is a chance that HoYoverse will address and retcon this ability following the backlash of leaks during the Version 3.2 beta tests, so it may not make it into the final version. Even so, this is harrowing news and it may take Honkai: Star Rail down an undesirable path that could make strategies, team comps, and its overall balance run amok.
