The proper build for Misha in release of Honkai: Star Rail 2.0. This update arrived before the RPG’s first anniversary, but it kicked off the game’s second year of content. Misha is one of the first characters from Penacony to become playable.

The 4-star unit specializes in dealing Ice DMG and taking advantage of the team’s usage of Skill Points to increase the number of times he hits foes. As such, he is an asset for parties that rely heavily on Skill Points, as he has a way of profiting from their consumption. Because of his overall kit, nonetheless, the character is more of a sub-DPS than the main DPS, so he should be paired with another damage dealer. Before deciding on the best team comp for Misha in Honkai: Star Rail, however, you are encouraged to give him a solid build.

Best Light Cones For Misha

Honkai Star Rails Misha looks startled as something approaches him quickly.

When deciding on the central piece of gear for Misha, look for Light Cones that increase ATK, CRIT, and his overall potential as a DPS unit. Because most 5-star Light Cones are built around specific characters’ kits, signature ones are not ideal for him. The best 5-star Light Cone for Misha is On The Fall of an Aeon. Surprisingly, this is a F2P (free-to-play) item that can be picked up from Herta’s Store for eight Herta Bonds, obtainable from the Simulated Universe in Honkai: Star Rail. Other than offering top-tier stats, its skill also somewhat matches Misha’s combat style.

Only one copy of On The Fall of an Aeon can be purchased from the Herta’s Store. You need to use the Superimposer (Custom-made) item sold in Herta’s Store for Herta Bonds to superimpose the 5-star Light Cone.

On The Fall of an Aeon sees that, whenever the attacks, their ATK increases by 8% during the fight, an effect that can stack up to four times. With the Light Cone, the ’s DMG will increase by 12% for two turns after a character on the party inflicts Weakness Break on an opponent. Seeing that Misha should be striking foes multiple times with his Ultimate’s build-up mechanic, his chances of inflicting Weakness Break are immense, and having his ATK increased throughout the battle can optimize his damage output in Honkai: Star Rail.

The table below lists the best builds for Misha, including some Light Cone suggestions, the ideal Relic and Ornament sets, and even his skill priority:

Best Build For Misha In Honkai: Star Rail

Light Cone

  1. On the Fall of an Aeon (Best 5-star - F2P)
  2. Indelible Promise (Best 4-star)
  3. Something Irreplaceable (Substitute 5-star)
  4. The Moles Welcome You (4-star substitute)
  5. Under the Blue Sky (4-star substitute)

Relic & Ornament Set

Relics:

  • Hunter of Glacial Forest (4 pieces)

Ornaments:

  • Inert Salsotto (2 pieces)

Stat Priority

  1. CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate
  2. ATK
  3. Ice DMG
  4. Effect Hit Rate

Skill Priority

  1. Ultimate & Talent
  2. Skill
  3. Basic Attack

If you have not mustered up the Herta Bonds for On the Fall of an Aeon, you can use other 5-star Light Cones. Something Irreplaceable fits Misha well due to how generic its benefits are. When equipped, this Light Cone increases the ’s ATK by 24% and, whenever they defeat an opponent or are hit, they restore HP equal to 8% of their ATK. This also triggers a 24% boost to their DMG until the end of their next turn. The HP restoration mechanic is dispensable, but the boost to damage output is great for Misha in Honkai: Star Rail.

Other 5-star Destruction Light Cones are mostly tailor-made for 5-star characters’ kits, so they shouldn’t be used on Misha.

In case you do not have either of these 5-star Light Cones, there are still viable 4-star options for Misha. The best 4-star Light Cone is called Indelible Promise, as it increases the ’s Break Effect by 28% and after they use their Ultimate, boosts CRIT Rate by 15% for two turns. This fits perfectly with the focus on Misha’s Ultimate in Honkai: Star Rail, his main source of damage output. The Moles Welcome You and Under the Blue Sky also work fairly well with Penacony’s first 4-star unit, even if they do not benefit his Skill Point consumption-based mechanic.

The 4-star Light Cone Indelible Promise is, arguably, better for Misha than the 5-star Something Irreplaceable.

Best Relics, Ornaments, & Stats For Misha

Honkai Star Rail's Misha has his eyes closed in Penacony.

When picking Relic sets to farm for Misha, there is only really one option for now. The best Relic set is Hunter of Glacial Forest. With two pieces, the set increases the ’s Ice DMG by 10%, and, with four pieces, their CRIT DMG increases by 25% for two turns after they activate their Ultimate. This matches Misha’s element and the fact that he should constantly use his Ultimate. There is currently no Relic set in Honkai: Star Rail that fits Misha perfectly, focusing on increasing his Hits Per Action damage or Skill Point consumption-related mechanics.

Hanya is a new 4-star Harmony character in Honkai: Star Rail. Here are all the materials you need to farm to fully max her out.

Complementing the Relics, the ideal Planar Ornament set for Misha is Inert Salsotto. With it, Misha’s CRIT Rate increases by 8% and, when that same stat reaches 50% or higher, Misha’s Ultimate DMG increases by 15%. Ultimate DMG is what you should aim for, so Inert Salsotto is the best-in-slot – you have to ensure, however, that you can get Misha’s CRIT Rate to at least 50% in order to activate the bonus to his Ultimate DMG in Honkai: Star Rail. Inert Salsotto also provides the bonus to follow-up attacks, but Misha doesn’t have any, so it can be disregarded.

It would be best if you farmed or crafted a Hunter of Glacial Forest Relic body piece with CRIT Rate as the main stat to guarantee at least a 32.4% CRIT Rate bonus. The rest can be obtained through sub-stats from other pieces.

When farming the Relic sets and Ornament pieces for Misha, optimize those that enable him as a DPS. This includes a healthy CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG distribution, ATK, and Ice DMG. Misha can also benefit from having some Effect Hit Rate – he is capable of applying Freezing enemies – and Energy Restoration, as he relies heavily on his Ultimate in Honkai: Star Rail.

Best Team Comps For Misha

The ideal team structure for Misha is one that is hungry for Skill Points. Misha’s damage output increases with the more Skill Points consumed, so it is a great idea to pair him up with Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae, as this is one of the most powerful DPS units in the game – which compensates for Misha’s lower DMG – and he consumes a lot of Skill Points. To compensate for the immense Skill Point consumption, it is best to add a character like Sparkle, as she can address the limitation by increasing and restoring Skill Points.

Ascending and leveling Imbibitor Lunae's Traces in Honkai: Star Rail is crucial to boost his powers. Here are all the required materials.

The table below lists a few team comp suggestions for Misha in Honkai: Star Rail:

Best Team Comps For Misha In Honkai: Star Rail

Dual DPS Team

  • Misha (Destruction - Ice)
  • Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae (Destruction - Imaginary)
  • Sparkle (Harmony - Quantum) or Hanya (Harmony - Physical)
  • Luocha (Abundance - Imaginary) or Huohuo (Abundance - Wind)

Mono Ice Team

  • Misha (Destruction - Ice)
  • Jingliu (Destruction - Ice)
  • Ruan Mei (Harmony - Ice)
  • Luocha (Abundance - Imaginary) or Gepard (Preservation - Ice)

If Sparkle is not available, Hanya is a great 4-star unit that can provide Skill Point recovery. For the team’s damage management, it is best if you go with a character that does not rely on Skill Points, such as Luocha. You can also use Huohuo, as she will provide healing and also serve as a buffer. You can also try out a Mono Ice team comp, provided that your focus is ensuring the team eats up Skill Points in Honkai: Star Rail.

Skill Priority For Misha

Honkai Star Rail's Misha swings his broom in combat against a Dreamjolt Troupe enemy.

When Ascending Misha and leveling up his Traces, prioritize his Ultimate and his Talent. Misha’s Ultimate is his main source of damage and will deal more hits based on the amount of Hits Per Action stacked up. His Talent will see that when an ally consumes a Skill Point, Misha gets one more Hit Per Action and regenerates Energy. Following that, you should level up Misha’s Skill, as this is his second source of damage and grants him an extra Hit Per Acton in Honkai: Star Rail.

The last priority should be his Basic Attack, which is only used when you are out of Skill Points. Misha is not the strongest DPS in the game, but his gameplay mechanics can be fun when applied to a team comp that constantly uses Skill Points. With Imbibitor Lunae, the 4-star Ice unit can be a reliable secondary DPS who augments his own power because of the 5-star ally. Of course, you have to give Misha the proper build in Honkai: Star Rail, but that is also easily achievable, especially when considering his best Light Cone is F2P.
