Farming all of Moze’s materials in characters in Honkai: Star Rail 2.5, though his status as a 4-star unit means he is not reliant on limited-time banners.
The Shadow Guard of the Yaoqing is a damage dealer and a specialist in follow-up attacks. With his Skill, Moze marks an opponent as Prey, enters the Departed state, and gains nine points of Charge. When the Prey is attacked by allies, extra Lightning damage is inflicted and Moze launches a follow-up attack that deals extra damage for every three points of Charge that are consumed. Additionally, Moze can recover Skill Points when he launches a follow-up attack and have his action Advanced Forward once he leaves the Departed state in Honkai: Star Rail.

Ascension Materials To Farm For Moze In Honkai: Star Rail
Farming Some Of Moze’s Ascension Materials Can Be Optimized Within A Single Activity
The first set of materials used in Moze’s Ascension is composed of Artifex’s Module, Artifex’s Cogwheel, and Artifex’s Gyreheart. If you have been playing since launch, you likely have a stock of these materials but, if you need to farm them – since they are also used in Moze’s Traces – you can gather Artifex materials from Enhanced Ingenium and Aurumaton enemies across the Xianzhou Luofu. These materials drop from the constructs instead of Mara-related creatures and soldiers on the flagship. A great way of obtaining Artifex materials is to run Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures on the Xianzhou Luofu.
By running Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures on the Xianzhou Luofu, you can farm both the Artifex materials and the Credits used in Moze’s Ascension and Trace-leveling processes.
The table below lists all the materials used in Moze’s Ascension in Honkai: Star Rail, divided by level threshold, and condensed at the end:

The second and final material used in Moze’s Ascension is called Nail of the Beast Coffin. This is an Ascension material added with Version 2.5. Nail of the Beast Coffin drops from the new Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Mechwolf activity located in the Shackling Prison. In total, you will need 50 copies of the item, which means running the activity multiple times. If you challenge this activity at level 4 (the highest level), meaning you drop five copies per run, you will need to face the Stagnant Shadow 10 times in Honkai: Star Rail. This translates to 300 Trailblaze Power.
The last thing needed for Moze’s Ascension is Credits. As a 4-star character, he consumes much less than 5-star units, but you may need to power through both the Ascension thresholds and the leveling process if you are using Character EXP Materials – 580,100 Credits are used for leveling, plus the 246,400 Credits used to unlock Ascension barriers. You will also need a large sum of Credits for Moze’s Traces, so if you are farming, to challenge Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures on the Xianzhou Luofu to optimize your farming gains and gather Artifex materials in Honkai: Star Rail.

Leaks about Honkai: Star Rail’s future indicate that Tingyun will make a meaningful comeback - but there are problems with these rumors.
Materials For Moze’s Traces (Abilities) In Honkai: Star Rail
Most Materials Could Be Pre-Farmed
While Ascending the character may be easy and quick, the process of leveling Moze’s Traces with materials may be a bit longer and more expensive. This is because he consumes a lot more materials and Credits when doing so. Moze’s Traces also use Artifex’s Module, Artifex’s Cogwheel, and Artifex’s Gyreheart, so when gathering these items the first time around, you may want to farm a surplus and try to get everything needed in a single farming investment. These items, however, are easily acquirable from the Bud of Treasures on the Xianzhou Luofu, as has been previously mentioned.
The table below lists all the materials needed to fully level all of Moze’s Traces in Honkai: Star Rail:

The next set of materials used by Moze’s Traces is composed of Meteoric Bullet, Destined Expiration, and Countertemporal Shot. These are all Hunt-specific Trace materials that can be farmed from the Calyx (Crimson): Bud of the Hunt activity located on the Soulglad Scorchsand Audition Venue. A large sum of these will be needed, especially because the rarest material among the bunch, Countertemporal Shot, is less dropped – you will need to use the Omni-Synthesizer to transform lower-grade materials into rarer versions as Moze’s material needs increase in Honkai: Star Rail.
As is the case with any item family, Artifex materials can also be upgraded via the Omni-Synthesizer.
At higher Trace levels, Moze will also use the Auspice Sliver boss material, added with Version 2.5. Auspice Sliver drops exclusively from the Shadow of Feixiao weekly boss, unlocked by progressing deeper into the campaign. While only 12 copies of the item are needed, there is a limitation of weekly boss challenges, so you may take a while longer to obtain all the Auspice Sliver you need to fully level all of Moze’s Traces in the game. Auspice Sliver is also used by Lingsha in Honkai: Star Rail.
Lastly, Moze also uses Tracks of Destiny for more advanced Traces. These are rare Trace materials that can be obtained from limited-time events and weekly in the Simulated Universe. You may also obtain more from the Embers Exchange Shop if you have the proper resources. Because Moze is a 4-star character, only five copies are needed.

Why I'm Not Excited About Honkai: Star Rail's Dating Sim Leaks
New leaks about Honkai: Star Rail suggest a dating gameplay mode similar to visual novels, but it may not be as exciting as you initially think.
Of course, to fuel the Trace-leveling process, you will also consume a lot of Credits. Many more are needed when compared to how much Moze uses in his Ascension, so be sure to farm accordingly. Overall, farming Moze’s materials is quite simple, and older players may not even have to invest too much time farming, aside from the new Stagnant Shadow and Echo of War weekly boss materials that were not available prior to Moze’s release. In this sense, his materials are a bit more complicated to farm than Feixiao’s materials in Honkai: Star Rail.
