The Devil's Rejects tattoos earn director Rob Zombie's approval. The heavy metal musician turned horror movie director is highly regarded for his directorial debut in 2003, House Of 1000 Corpses, which was the first film in his Firefly trilogy which also includes 2005's The Devil's Rejects and 2019's 3 from Hell. Zombie is also known for his 2007 remake of John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic, Halloween, which is the director's highest-grossing film to date despite its less favorable reception.

Recently, Zombie has been hard at work on his Munsters movie based on the beloved 1960s sitcom of the same name. The film stars Jeff Daniel Phillips and Sheri Moon Zombie as Herman and Lily Munster, along with Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa. Zombie's frequent collaborator Richard Brake stars as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang while Sylvester McCoy plays a new character named Igor. The Munsters movie hails from Universal Pictures and will seemingly receive a theatrical release while simultaneously streaming on Peacock.

As the horror director frequently does on his Instagram page, Rob Zombie recently posted a fresh batch of tattoos inspired by his Firefly trilogy that have earned his approval. This ink in particular showcases an array of colorful characters from House Of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, including Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis Driftwood (Bill Moseley), and Baby (Moon). These fan tattoos are just the latest testament to the cult status of House Of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. Haig's Captain Spaulding is one of the most popular characters from the films that fans choose to get permanently inked onto their bodies, and for good reason. Behind only Pennywise, Spaulding is perhaps the most terrifying clown in horror movie history. Haig sadly ed away in 2019, which has led to an increase of fans paying homage to this iconic character with tattoos.

Zombie returned to the Firefly series with 3 from Hell in 2019, though the question on many fans' minds is if the director will ever make another sequel. The cult following is definitely there to justify it, though interest has seemed to wane with each installment. The horror director is stepping out of his comfort zone with the Munsters movie, though his roots will always be in films like House Of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, so there's always a good chance he will end up revisiting them at some later point in his career.
