The spin-off series set within the universe of BOOM! Studios is offering fan a first look at the dark ritual revealed in issue #2. House of Slaughter depicts the origins of the monster hunter family fans are introduced to in Something is Killing the Children. This thrilling second issue will continue the training Erica and Aaron Slaughter are undergoing to become deadly hunters that even the most vile monsters have come to fear.
House of Slaughter has maintained the quality fans have come to expect from reading the Eisner Award-nominated Something is Killing the Children with some of the same creative team behind the new series as well. The series is written by the co-creator of Something is Killing the Children James Tynion IV and co-written by the mind behind the comic Barbalien Tate Bromball. The series is illustrated by co-creator Werther Dell’Edera who also worked on Razorblades along with The Autumnal’s Chris Shehan. alum Miquel Muerto is the colorist and the letterer is AndWorld Design, which also brought fans The Many Deaths of Laila Starr.

This next phase in the Something is Killing the Children saga is only the most recent achievement from the hit series. Going beyond the comic book world, the series has been picked up by Netflix and will be developed into an original series. Intrepid Pictures’ Trevor Macy and Mike Flanagan of The Haunting of Hill House are reportedly behind the series.
